The Ring Pub Caravan and Camping Site

Понравилось Very clean and well kept. Hotel quality shower toilets and washrooms

Не понравилось Only 6 pitches at back of pub with owners family looking on. Had to chose between electric or awning as cable not long enough for hook up and ground too hard if parked nearer. Gravel on grass for awning not good on groundsheet. Not near enough to walk or cycle to beach so had to take van. In fact nearby lake overgrown so nowhere near of any interest

Понравилось It is a lovely small and quiet site with everything you need for a short stay in a campervan.
The book in the washing room with things to do is a nice touch, we had a good read through it on the evening we arrived.
The showers and washing areas very clean and the pitches are close enough to flat to not worry about.

Не понравилось The site has a pub attached so you would think that you could get an evening meal when you stay but, I couldn't as at about 19:00 I was told it was 'fully booked' when I asked for a menu, even though I had just purchased a pint, sat at a table and it was not full? Luckily we had a spare meal in the van for the two of us otherwise I would have had a bigger issue.
A lovely local couple we chatted to said to order an Indian and eat it in the pub garden.
If I had been told we would need to book an evening meal when we checked in the day before I would have done so to make sure I would be okay, sadly this didn't happen. There was only a mention of booking breakfast.

As regards to not being able to dine with us, we do highly recommend on all accommodation confirmation emails, our website, and any other online channels that it is possible that reservations are highly recommend to dine, we do not prompt for this on check in also, as it just seems a little pushy. I am unable to comment if the car park stop over was able to dine with us or not, if they were booked in then they would have been. It is a common occurrence over the peak summer period that we do not accept walk in diners, having a seat available is only one part of this, it is also influenced by staffing levels etc, as we would always prefer to serve fewer people to a good standard. As regards to the fact that you would have requested a refund for your drinks if you had not got food in your caravan / camper, we are a Pub / Restaurant and therefore have drinks only customers, and for this reason, if you had ordered drinks before asking for menus, then the team member would of had no reason to advise you that we were not accepting walk in diners and therefore no refund for your drinks would have been given.

Понравилось Site is lovely, its quiet and obviously well looked after. The facilities were always clean and were close to the pitches. The pitches are mostly flat and easy to pitch up in.
It is ideally located to get around Anglesey which we did everyday.
The pub is really nice. We ate there one evening, food was good and the portions were generous. The staff were really friendly both when we first arrived and when serving in the pub.

Понравилось Loved how friendly and welcoming the staff were .The pitch and the facilities were perfect .Great being next to the pub to nip in for a pint .

Понравилось nice small site

Не понравилось difficult to manuvour when people using pods on site.
As toilets and shower in same compartment could make waiting difficult. wasn't a problem for me as site quiet.
always a problem as solo camper, price is just for 1 person, means it is quite expensive

I am confused in relation to your comment about being difficult to manuvour when the Glamping Pods are in use, these are always in situe during the summer months (even when not occupied) and are on a raised area that can not be driven on by site users anyway. Even when the site and Glamping Pods are all full, we do not experience any issues with the Shower / Toilet Block coping with demand, but do also have our pub toilets available during the peak morning / breakfast time for use if needed. As you say, our base pitch fee includes 2 people like most and does not offer a single occupancy option.
