Понравилось The views are the only thing I can actually rate

Не понравилось I wish I’d read the last review!!
When we arrived I literally walked into someone’s living room signposted ‘office’.
We were haphazardly directed to where we may find a hook up / pitch and despite driving around 3 very poorly maintained fields containing caravans that had more moss & dirt on them than the ground themselves and unkempt pitches with nettles everywhere .. we couldn’t locate anything resembling a pitch. Using the loo’s before we hastily left it smelt like something had died in there and looked like it hadn’t seen any form of cleaning in a while.
Additional signage and pitch numbers may have also helped!
Granted we are now towards end of season but if you are accepting bookings then at least make it acceptable and presentable for paying guests. I wouldn’t even like to guess what the shower block was like if the toilets were anything to go by!
Apart from the fact that there was no pitch available despite paying £40 for a camper van, the privilege of having a dog with us and a hookup .. to be honest I’m sorry to say we would have felt very uncomfortable staying there even if there was a pitch! The hills have eyes sprang to mind .. I’m sure others have had a pleasant experience in the past but our brief 10 minute visit I couldn’t find one positive thing to say which is a shame as the views are spectacular!
We promptly left and went elsewhere and the camp site we ended up in was worth every penny and £5 cheaper although by now we’ve also spent £75 in pitches! . apparently we were the 2nd couple to end up there from Parc Gwynus who did the same thing.
We are not snobs by any means .. we camp and have wild camped so used to unbeaten tracks but if we pay for pitches, we expect better experiences than this.
I don’t know where or when the photos were from but was not our experience here.
As a business I would have also contacted guests to find out why they didn’t stay so that they can work on what needs improvements .. surely these reviews can’t be good for their reputation. I hate leaving bad reviews but this one could not be avoided!

Понравилось The surrounding area looked love

Не понравилось Upon arrival it wasn’t the best experience. I thought I’d walked into someone chalet. We weren’t asked our name or given any details about the site just kept on the doorstep. Pointed to a choice of pitches which we went to but didn’t bother to hook up. We found ourselves somewhere else to go. We are no snobs but the pitches were unkept and the area was just untidy. I’m sure the surrounding area is lovely but this site wasn’t for us.

Понравилось We loved the fact it was out the way of the busy areas.

It’s high up so lovely views.

Great value for money.

Ticked all The boxes for what we needed.

We love the fact it’s owned by local people, we always believe in supporting local.

Не понравилось The road coming in and out we felt was abit awkward if you use it whilst there is an on coming car.

Понравилось I was looking forward to a drink in the bar. As ide not took many beers with me.. I was told it was closed as not very busy but the owner kindly took me to the bar and let me purchase some beers, he also showed me around the site..hes a lovely chap.. we had a lovely quite stay that night... so from me and my wife it was a lovely night.. ps. We like quite and no noise so it was perfect

Понравилось Wonderful welcome, brilliant pitch for our camper and tent, hot showers and we loved the peaceful feel of the place. Also the bar on Friday evening which we weren't able to make but wanted to!

Понравилось Loved the wild camping. Great for my pony loving 4 yr old with the horse trotting about the field. Wouldn’t be good if you squeamish about horse poo or whatever. The toilets and showers were always clean. Felt safe, secure and off the beaten track enough to be an adventure but then everything we wanted was nearby. Only 3 other tents in field at the most during our stay. No WiFi but that’s not expected somewhere so rural. Loved the owner! A really historically important guy. Ask and he might tell you why.
