What an utterly attractive area this is... The Moray Firth is a Special Conservation Area, famed for its wildlife and noted as one of the most esteemed places on the British coast for spotting dolphins and whales. Chanonry Point is one of the best known viewing places for dolphins, but many visitors also take a dolphin spotting boat trip out on the water to see more. Once dolphins, whales and other wildlife have been hailed many times, turn your attention to the activities and outdoorsy stuff around Fortrose Holiday Park like walking, cycling, horse riding, sailing and canoeing, archery, golf, tennis, badminton… or you could try some laser games or paintballing, or take a local keep-fit class…? Or tackle one of the many other hobbies-based pastimes happily pursued around here, such as photography, astronomy or delving into Scottish history… Play parks are near the site with football pitches and volleyball courts. At Inverness, about six miles away, visitors can book tours to attractions around the rest of the Highlands.
