Sandylands Holiday Park

Понравилось: Nothing. Facilities shabby and cold. Advertised as dog friendly but this turned out to be in your accommodation only (we have a vw camper) so could not make use of any of the facilities I.e. restaurant for dinner or breakfast.

Не понравилось: Everything - booked for two nights but only stayed for one. Next to a caravan with their filth everywhere.

Не понравилось: Bridge closed to beach, 1 mile walk to next bridge in town. Site sandwiched between abattoir and railway line. Ok as only one night on way to Arran ferry.

Понравилось: Everyone seemed friendly

Не понравилось: The site needs some investment. The shower block was tired and very dirty. The pitches were right next to the railway line. The site advertised it was close to the beach but the bridge over the railway was condemned so we couldn’t get there. Price was it was more expensive than some really nice we’ve stayed on.

Понравилось: Not much other than the food at the chip shop on site was decent.

Не понравилось: The touring pitches are right on the railway. The site’s facilities were not clean and we ended up showering in our caravan. The entertainment complex feels rundown. There were dogs barking and kids screaming past midnight and no one seemed to care. We definitely wouldn’t return.

We're also sorry to hear you were kept awake by other guests on park, we do have a quiet policy on park that guests should be respectful of others and start to lower any noise after 11pm, so it's disappointing to hear that this wasn't your experience on this occasion. ^AB

Понравилось: Plenty of fun for kids and adults weather was not good but spent time in arcade and swing park

Понравилось: Staff - security were very accommodating and opened up the laundrette for me, as closed at 5pm. Lots of entertainment for kids, although being a solo female found it all too noisy and too many kids

Не понравилось: Touring pitches are next to a train line. Showers were blocked, no choice on temperature so was either cold or really hot. Only 2 toilets and 2 showers for women.

Понравилось: Good Location next to showers and Main entertainment area Decent kids park, plenty for them to do. Staff we nice, plenty for the kids to do, pool is basic but they do have plenty of activities on throughout the day at a small cost. plenty of space in showers

Не понравилось: small outside area for adults next to park didn't leave you any space. didn't take much to make it look untidy and if food left behind Seagulls were a bit of a pain Drinks and food prices were a little steep, over £6 for a beer and £9 for a glass of wine

Понравилось: Most of the staff were Friendly until a point when we complained Good spacious pitch and great facilities for food and drink

Не понравилось: We were in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and confirmed with the waitress the times for serving food which we were told nine to nine On Sunday evening we rushed back to the restaurant and arrived at 20.50 so we quickly decided what we wanted and approached the bar to be told sorry we have stopped serving chef has went home early. But to are surprise they were still serving other guests deserts at 21.05. The shower block could be serviced more regular.
