Silver Sands Holiday Park

Понравилось The site ticks every box for us, it’s a beautiful oasis of peace and quiet. Where children can play on traditional a traditional play area set in the centre of pitches, on swings, climbing frame etc. there’s also a play area and sandpit for the younger ones.
We prefer a hard standing full service pitch, and the pitch we were on was just perfect. So roomy and near the loo’s, which was just ideal for us!
There are many pitches to choose from, with or without electricity, and on grass or handstand if, under trees or no trees! There’s a place for everyone.
Lots of pitches available for tents, and they take even the very large tents!

The toilet/laundry/pot wash/toilet cassette empty is all located in the same block in the centre of the site. It’s kept beautifully clean.

We love the Proximity to dog a friendly beach, it is literally just about 15 mins walk down through a woodland walk to the beach, it’s split into 2 the main sandier beach is dog friendly until 10 am and after 6pm during the main season,the other half is dog friendly all year round. There’s a cafe on the main beach, and also a surfing teaching school.

The management and staff are all super helpful and friendly, it feels like going to visit friends!

We have stayed here twice, and are booked in for a third visit. We both totally fell in love with the site more or less as soon as we visited the first time in may 2025.

It takes just a short 20mins drive to the supermarkets and Helston town.

There a great little bar just a 10 min walk across the field, and there’s a Thai food takeaway just a few yards from the bar.

Good size pitches - nice shade on ours.

Не понравилось 2pm check in for a touring pitch rather than the normal noon check in.

Понравилось The site was peaceful and very well maintained.
Our pitch was level and the water, waste and electricity were near to the caravan.
The amenity block was spotless and the showers were powerful.
The WiFi was excellent and never buffered or dropped out.
We would definitely stay here again.

Не понравилось The lane leading to the site is a single track and fairly narrow. A little bit challenging the first time.
Be sure not to arrive before your arrival time or leave after your departure time as you may end up with a "Mexican standoff" in the lane.
These comments are not because we disliked anything, because we didn't, but rather for awareness.

Понравилось Everything about this site is wonderful. It's is clean, beautifully maintained, quiet with great facilities - the perfect base. Allen and the team are so friendly and welcoming too.

And painting not a proper disabled toilet family room again need badly upgraded bins overflowing in both family room and toilets not cleaned properly which is a shame it let the site down

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am really disappointed by its content. We are regularly around the site and whilst we will engage with anybody and everybody, I am sorry we didn't get that opportunity to do so with you. The bins were full on Thursday morning, as I emptied them, but to say over-flowing feels a little stretched.

You're right about the toilet block being a little dated, however it is cleaned daily, functional and provides all that is needed for the park and it's guests. An earlier review even mentioned it adding to the charm of the site.

We also don't advertise a disabled toilet, so I am sorry if you thought we did have one, but I am unsure where you may have read that.

We also provide our number and contact information on all our correspondence, if your stay had any niggles then we absolutely welcome you to contact us during your stay. As I note you had issues with our free Wi-Fi service, which is a superfast Wi-Fi provision suitable for streaming etc...

If you do find the opporunity to visit again, we would welcome the chance to ensure a smooth stay.

Понравилось We loved absolutely everything about this site! The location for us is perfect, only a short 12 min walk to beach, through beautiful woodland. The owner Allen and all the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our pitch was large, easily accessible, flat with little hedges for privacy and to mark the boundaries. All pitches were flat that had hard standing, as were the grass pitches. We had a hard standing and grass fully serviced pitch, located as we had asked for near to the amenities. The amenities were very, very clean and well maintained, there was a small laundry, pot washing facility, family room then ladies and gents showers/toilets. Around the back of the block was the area to empty and wash the caravan cassettes.
The total tranquility of the site is wonderful, all that can be heard is the sounds from the sea and birds.
There are children’s play areas which are well maintained from what I saw, the children certainly seemed to enjoy the areas, it was so lovely to hear children actually playing nowadays. But not obtrusively.
The park is a good size, not too big nor too small.
There’s a dog walking area, with poo bin.
The camping areas are flat and situated within an area with some mature trees, I’m sure it would give privacy as there were also privacy/boundary hedges. There were electric points around the camping area.
There is a walk by the sides of the fields over to kuggar, again only about 10-12 mins to the small friendly local pub. There’s a Thai takeaway van there, Thursday to Saturday I think.
It’s about a 15 min drive to Helston for the supermarkets/pubs/restaurants etc . Which was perfect for us.
We fell in love with this site, and will be back many, many times.

Понравилось Everything about Silver Sands was excellent - from the cleanliness of the shower / toilet block through to the grounds appearance. We can reccomend this site to anyone else as a great place to stay and only 10 minutes from the nearest beach by foot.
