First things first, food? A gorgeous tea room is 40 minutes’ walk away for your cakes and teas and Helston (10 minutes’ drive) has much more of that sort of thing. For active pursuits, however, head south; the harbour town of Porthleven (15 minutes) is a watersports hub and has some excellent restaurants for replenishing your energy after a day exploring the Lizard’s many beaches. Historic days out can be had at St Michael's Mount (half an hour) or the Poldark Mine & The Cornish National Heritage Collection (15 minutes’ walk). Further afield, soak up all that gorgeous scenery from the hikes over Land's End (55 minutes’ drive) and the sands at Porthcurno beach (55 minutes). The Minack Theatre (55 minutes), an open-air clifftop theatre, is another spot that’s treated to stunning views.
