Gostou Reasonably level grass pitch. Easy to book. Facilities good. Excellent location close to town.

Não gostou Quite a long distance to the toilet & shower block with uneven steps. Would have preferred non electric but couldn’t find that option when booking

Não gostou Someone had left some litter.

Gostou Peaceful, easy going approach, quiet apart from the wind roaring through the trees, clean toilets, water & water facilities well signed. The owners are clearing improving the site all the time, lots of new planting going in. Completely level. A good location for visiting RSPB Blacktoft.

Não gostou A bit chaotic in terms of getting a call back, but we did only book the morning we were going. No one there to meet us so unclear where to go but we did get a friendly reply a bit later.

Gostou Beautiful open moorland with a lake, sheep grazing, curlews calling. Can arrive & leave at any time, it’s not staffed. Great stop off between Scotland & Yorkshire. About 3 miles into Appleby which has shops, pubs, etc.

Não gostou £12 is a bit expensive given what’s on offer (just water & waste, no loos) but it’s such a lovely place that I’d go back.

Gostou Laid back & rural, 2 pubs & a Co-op nearby. Fantastic new shower & toilet block - unfortunately up steps but worth it if you can get up them.

Não gostou Chaotic unstaffed check-in. One sign says pitch anywhere but there’s a schedule on the toilet block allocations some pitches but it is incomplete. We pulled into one & were politely asked to move. Not a problem but we didn’t know if we’d be asked to move again! Bit unsettling.

Do gestor: Hi Mary, Thank you for your feedback. The site is unmanned, however you should've received an email from Pitch up with your pitch number. There is also a phone number to call should you have any issues. We do hope you visit us again!

Gostou Quiet site, lovely alpacas, friendly owners, comfortable bar

Gostou Friendly staff took care to contact us before arrival to warn off wet ground & advise where best to park. Staff kindly made arrangements for us to arrive after normal hours. Beautiful site.

Não gostou Very stiff & unwieldy door closers made it very hard to get up the step into the loo. Some road noise.

Gostou Lovely green surrounding, lots of birds, felt miles from anywhere. Very friendly host. Toilet block clean & well provisioned.

Não gostou A lot of barking coming from a nearby farm - not much you can do about that I guess! People in a motorhome had a drone up for a while which feels like an invasion of your privacy but they didn’t go on too long.

Gostou Good location for train station, visiting Lydney harbour & the Forest of Dean. Good takeaways in town.

Não gostou The approach is a bit off-putting & scruffy.

Gostou Peaceful, spacious pitches, pub nearby, nice info hut

Não gostou Bit impersonal, power tripped out for no apparent reason, more expensive than most similar sites we use

Gostou Location on riverside. We were in a sunny spot in the morning which was lovely. Toilets clean & well organized.

Gostou Booked day before, chosen primarily for location. Large site with plenty of people on it but quiet & spacious. Toilet facilities excellent & very clean. All seemed well organised & covid-safe. Excellent beer in the pub. We plan to go to this site again to visit the aviation museum in the village. Campsite was good value for money. Very easy to book, all information easily accessed, accurate & up to date.

Não gostou Pub food a bit disappointing, quantity rather than quality, limited veggie choice.

Do gestor: Hi Thankyou for your comments, we have put a lot of effort in to the site and facilities and it’s nice to hear they are working well, we are very disappointed with the comments regarding the food as we have had nothing but good feed back regarding the food, there are multiple choices for vegetarians on our menu and this has been comment how good the choice were previously. If you had any particular requirements we would have welcomed the input to help us improve our choices many thanks
