Gostou This was a local campsite for us to take family friends to trial camping for a few nights close to home. The short drive to Blackpool Sands was great.

Não gostou Unfortunately our neighbours were incredibly noisy until the early hours of the morning - a message was sent to remind campers of the quiet times, but staff monitoring this may have been useful. The pitches are incredibly close together, which became more obvious as the site became busier, and the pitches are all on a slope. We were unable to have the car on the pitch - even for unloading - which adds a challenge. The facilities were clean enough, but there wasn't enough for when the campsite was busier, and there were no mops or anything to clean out the showers when done, so the floor was a bit slimy and slippery.

Gostou This was a lovely, clean, friendly campsite. The pitches were flat and we had plenty of space. We liked being on the side of the campsite that was far away from the farm animals. The cafe/restaurant and bar was brilliant, we enjoyed being able to sit outside and listen to music with a few pints of Rattler! The view of the sunset from the reception was fantastic and the short drive to the beach was really handy (we didn't fancy the walk up the hill).

Gostou There was plenty of space and nice size pitches. The site was flat, which is a bonus. Lovely, clean, quiet, campsite.

Gostou This was an immaculately clean site! The pitches were really cared for and the toilet facilities were spotless. We chose this site because it was close to a festival at the Royal Cornwall Showground, and it was a bit of a long walk but a very short drive. The owners were very helpful and quick at replying to messages. I really liked the check-in system on the board - very modern! The owners were very accommodating with putting family on a pitch next to us.

Não gostou The pitches are quite close to each other, separated by bushes. So the noise from neighbours at night/early mornings was unavoidable. Also, the site is quite close to a main busy road which was busy all night too. After we bought ear plugs neither of these were issues though! The pitch we were on had possibly had someone on for a long time before as it was dried out and dusty, which made a bit of a mess of our tent carpet (trudging in and out).

Gostou The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Always happy to stop for a chat and give advice on the area. They were very accommodating when we asked to be close to family. The site was nice and quiet, with no clubhouse or entertainment - which we really enjoy!

Não gostou The toilets were a bit of a walk from the pitch and there were only a few toilets and showers cubicles, so when it was busy it was a bit of a gamble. We went the week before summer holidays and it was fairly quiet, so imagine this might be a bit of a struggle in the height of summer.

Do gestor: Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. If you do come back to stay with us, please do ask to be closer to the facilities, its no problem! We popped you on this particular pitch to be close to your family. We have quite a choice of showers and loos in two separate blocks, these coped really well over the Summer Holidays, so surprised to hear it was a bit of a gamble when you stayed, as this was not peak busy time, just luck perhaps! Hope to see you again sometime :)

Gostou The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the farm shop on site and the camping shop they have upstairs. The park was great for the children and we could see them from our pitch. We felt safe on site to let the children play. For the price, this was a very good site. The site was close to a couple of lovely beaches that were only a short distance away. There were also absolutely cracking views of the sun setting from the site!!

Não gostou Unfortunately, due to extremely heavy rain the week before we arrived, the pitches at the bottom of the site were very water-logged and boggy. When we arrived we were informed of this and were given a "pitch" which was essentially the space between other pitches - so we were very crammed in! It would have been nice if the site called ahead and warned us of this - we probably still would have come but it would have been less of a shock / worry on arrival. In the end it didn't ruin our stay at all, but the grumbles from our neighbours suggested it might have affected theirs more than ours!! We also had a power cut on the first night - which was not the site manager's fault at all and they handled it well by coming around to let us know. I would mention that it is quite close to a busy road and the noise of the traffic seemed to echo at night. This might not have been a problem if we were further down the site though.
