Cápsula de campismo (superior)
Gostou Pricing of the pods are absolutely excellent. Considering it was twice the price of a cheap camping tent spot elsewhere, it was very good to have standing room for a change and most of all, just plenty of space. Think of it being an electric hook up with everything already there.
The shelter was very nice compared to using a tent in wet and windy storm weather. It came with a mini fridge and TV (didn't use either), quick boil kettle and a 'heater'. Bin and brush used to throw leaves and debris back outside.
Pod area get their own tap in the middle of the path.
It wasn't drafty inside at all.
A double socket for extras was handy for playing a little speaker instead of using a battery pack. The acoustics were actually pretty decent due to the ceiling shape!
This was supposed to be three people but only I used it due to the storm.
*If you like Michelin standard everything, this may not be your place of choice and help keep it for the likes of us who appreciate budget friendly, handy sites which are now very few and far between these days. Thanks.
Não gostou Back in the day, like most campsites, this used to be for touring caravans and occasional statics with the odd motorhome. Things change. It's my understanding that most static/cabin people will use all their own facilities in comfort and the toilet blocks once used by all the tourers are left for the pods.
Like most people say, having the pods so far away from toilet facilities is a bit odd but it wouldn't be feasible to have them closer unless they're planning a huge suite revamp and the cost would be astronomical. I'm 6ft and took me 2 mins to walk the distance. I only had to use once in the pouring rain thankfully.
Both the double and the two single simple cot type beds were a little flimsy when sitting on the edges but once you lay on them, it was fine. I understand why they're like this for cleaning etc.
The heater, it wasn't a cold time but as they are not used 24/7 it took hours to warm up that pod and dry up the air inside. Maybe moving the heater away from the door to the mid area could help? Again I can see why they're at that point when built.
*Do not expect to be warm in here at 0'c.
The roller blind at the door did not have any cord/chain to use which was a pain rolling back up in the morning. It was very easy to pull down and leave down but squeezing past when entering/exiting without adding to its wear and tear was difficult.
I didn't try the WiFi as had a good enough reception on EE anyway.
As for the cleanliness, I'd say it was good for what it is, maybe a little dated looking but worn and used, not abused. Just remember all those other fancy places that charge you at least 4x as much may be using brand new and expensive gear so that is why you spend so much there.
The lack of a seat/bench inside was noted in a storm otherwise I'd have used the picnic bench outside.
Beds are not meant to be sat on.
Parking for motorcycles is not available right next to pods so may put some folk off due to this. It's a 30sec walk and you won't be able to see the bike.
*A single accessable gate to be able to push cycles in/out would be handy.

Do gestor: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and balanced review. We really appreciate you sharing your experience with us, and we’re delighted to hear that you found our pods to be good value for money, particularly given the challenging weather conditions during your stay. It’s lovely to hear that you appreciated the extra space, standing room and practical facilities within the pods. We know that having a little more comfort and shelter than a traditional tent can make a real difference, especially when the weather is wet and windy! We’re also pleased that the mini fridge, kettle, electric socket and other handy features helped make your stay a little more convenient. Your comments about the pods providing a simple, affordable alternative to traditional camping are exactly the kind of feedback we value. We also appreciate your understanding of the facilities and the balance involved in keeping our accommodation accessible and budget-friendly. We recognise that the distance to the toilet and shower facilities may not suit everyone, particularly in poor weather, and we understand why this has been raised by other guests. While the layout of the site does present some limitations, we appreciate you taking the time to explain your experience and put this into perspective. Thank you, too, for your honest feedback about the heating. We understand how important it is to feel comfortable when staying in colder conditions, and your comments about the time it took for the pod to warm up are helpful. The suggestion about the heater's position is also appreciated, and we’ll bear this in mind when reviewing the layout and comfort of the accommodation. We would always encourage guests to keep the outside temperature in mind when planning their stay, particularly during colder months. Your observations about the beds, roller blind and lack of indoor seating are equally useful. We understand that these smaller details can make a difference to the overall experience, and we appreciate you highlighting them in such a constructive way. We’ll also take note of your comments regarding motorcycle parking and the suggestion for improved cycle access, as we recognise the importance of making the site as practical and accessible as possible for guests arriving with different types of transport. We’re pleased that you found the pod clean and in good usable condition, and we appreciate your fair comments about the difference between simple, budget-friendly accommodation and more luxurious options. We believe there is a place for both, and it’s great to hear from guests who appreciate the straightforward, practical experience our site offers. Thank you again for your visit, your thoughtful suggestions and your understanding of what we’re trying to offer. Feedback like yours helps us understand what our guests value most, as well as where there may be opportunities to improve. We hope to welcome you back again in the future, hopefully in calmer weather next time! 😊

Lote tenda relva sem eletricidade (a solo)
Gostou Toilet and shower facilities in both areas for tents etc and the main section. Nice large camping section for tents/cars/bikes etc as pretty flat throughout. Decent shop and amenities with large bar and restaurant although I've not used that yet. Overall cleanliness was good. Never been able to use any WiFi but it's not an issue using EE network there.
You could spend a fortune there eating and drinking but similarly having a budget overnight tent is relatively inexpensive.
Local towns are a short distance for anything you'll need.
Não gostou The overflowing bucket should have been emptied at the tent area when the shower/toilets were cleaned. You could do a lot more on that refuse point doing forward. Lucky there was only 20 camping or it could have been very messy. Dogs mess. Every time I've stayed, there's always been one at the trees when campers walk through to main facilities/exercise area. I'm a dog owner myself and know when any of my dogs go when they're on lead. But that's the point, folk let them off and then look at their phones or it's dark and don't care. The middle tap still leaks in the gents...
Lastly, a £1 hike for the minimum stay.
