Gostou We loved the peace of this campsite; it's like stepping into another world. The small size means there is a lovely calm atmosphere and John and Vanessa are so friendly, welcoming and helpful that you almost feel like part of the family. If you're after an all singing, all dancing site, then this probably isn't for you but, if you fancy camping as it used to be, then you can't go wrong. There is only one shower and toilet, but that never caused any problems and they were always clean and pleasant. The grounds are beautiful and the location is great for days at the coast or visits to towns. There is a bit of noise from the road, but it doesn't take away from the general peace of the site. We had a wonderful time and certainly plan to return.

Gostou We absolutely loved this campsite; beautiful views, great facilities, wonderful setting and friendly owners. The animals, including the dogs, wandering about the area gave the site a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere. The gardens are simply stunning, a wonderful place to mooch around, I desperately wanted to put my gardening gloves on and have a play, they're amazing. The surrounding area is great too, with plenty of walks and quaint villages to explore. We can't wait to return.

Gostou Absolutely everything! A wonderfully flat, large field, with wild rabbits to watch in the morning and evening. The facilities are fabulous, without feeling too sterile, and we’re always spotless and warm. Fabulous value bags of logs available for your campfire, which you can enjoy without the obsessively strict rules about scorch marks on the grass. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and really helpful; we can’t wait to return. Just make sure you have rock pegs, as some parts of the ground are rocky.

Gostou A really lovely, small campsite. The owners were super friendly and helpful and the facilities were always super clean. The pitches are a lovely size and, because it’s not a large site, there is a lovely feeling of community, while still having plenty of space to yourself. We would not hesitate to return.

Gostou The pitches were well spaced. We chose to be at the bottom of the field, and it felt quiet and private. The showers and toilets were spotless. We can’t wait to return.

Não gostou There were some large groups that arrived who were quite noisy. One group was playing music which, although it wasn’t terribly loud, did spoil the atmosphere of the site a bit.

Do gestor: Thanks very much for your review Sean, we're so pleased you enjoyed it and would like to come again. You'll be very welcome. We agree it's a much nicer atmosphere without music or noise and actually we don't permit it. Occassionally someone doesn't realise this but they rarely mind when we tell them. I'm sorry if we weren't aware of it this time. Nobody likes to complain but please do let us know if you should be troubled by any noise and we will discreetly deal with it.
