Camping Roche

Camping Roche is on the Costa de la Luz, a place of the expected – and quite fab – beaches, sunshine and watersports, but also of nature reserves, wildlife, marshes and wetland. Nature spotters can stalk the Doñana National Park for possible sightings of lynxes or Spanish imperial eagles, or the La Breña y Marismas del Barbate Natural Park with its salt marshes and seaside cliffs. The seaside town of Conil de la Frontera, five kilometres from the site, comes with six sandy beaches; you could also have townie and sandy days out at Chiclana de la Frontera 18 kilometres away or at Vejer de la Frontera within 18 kilometres, or get to other nearby towns like San Fernando, Medina Sidonia, Barbate or Zahara. As one of Europe's oldest cities, Cádiz (39 kilometres or 40 minutes' drive from base) has weeks' worth of stuff to see among its ancient buildings, churches and museums. It's the same distance to more beaches, many festivals and samples of the local sherry at the town of El Puerto de Santa Maria, and day trippers can reach the splendid city of Seville and its massive cathedral within an hour and 40 minutes.
