Does your dog need a holiday? Book a spot at Four Paws Glamping, in the Ceredigion countryside 20 minutes’ drive from Aberystwyth, and hopefully they might let you tag along with them – this is, after all, a lovely spot for a human holiday too. As the name suggests, this site has been designed to make life easy for guests travelling with dogs – and it’s all been given the stamp of approval by the resident dogs. There are four of them, and between them they know a few things about what four-legged guests want from life. One of the main requirements is, of course, plenty of scope to stretch those paws – and that’s certainly been provided here, as the pod has an enclosed outdoor area where dogs can sniff about and do their thing safely. There’s also a bigger exercise area with agility kit down by the car park, and you’re welcome to use the three fields around the pod for a run around too. Beyond all that there’s a bridle path running alongside the fields for a longer wander, or a woodland path about 10 minutes’ walk away with lovely views of the Cambrian Mountains for the dogs’ human butlers to enjoy along the way. Keep an eye out for red kites and buzzards as you walk as well. It’s not all about the dogs here – the luxury pod has been very nicely kitted out for cosy human stays, with a comfy double bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, a Smart TV, heating and a wet room. The luxury continues onto the deck, where there’s a hot tub and a firepit – both excellent features for some time watching the sunset or looking up into the starry skies.

Gostou We absolutely loved our stay. The pod was clean and tidy and felt like a home away from home.

The views were stunning and so peaceful with plenty of space for the dogs to run around.

We managed to see 4 Red Kites and enjoyed watching them.

One of our dogs is extremely nervous and this was our first step trying to socialise her. Beth was extremely accommodating!

We would definitely be returning, thank you again for the lovely stay!

Gostou We stayed here in January and honestly had the loveliest time. The cabin was spotless, cosy and really well equipped with everything you’d need.
Our dogs were made to feel just as welcome as we were, which made the stay even more relaxing! The welcome treats for us and the dogs were such a lovely, kind gesture.
The setting was beautiful, even in the rain! peaceful and private, with enclosed area around the pod for the dogs to play and be safe.
The owner Beth, was amazing. With great communication. A pleasure to meet.
We will definitely be returning. ❤️

Gostou Such a lovely pod, in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Everything was well thought out and attention to detail was brilliant. Very clean and comfortable. Gostou Luxury accommodation kept us warm and dry with everything we needed during a 2 night stay through Storm Benjamin.
The dogs loved it as much as us with a secure area around the pod to play in and access to the much larger field as there were no sheep around during our stay.

Gostou We had an amazing stay. We were met on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely quiet site and the cleanest accommodation we have ever stayed in. Hot tub was huge and lovely and hot. The location - stunning. In the mountains, great dog walks close by, with river access if your dogs love a swim. Aberystwyth beach 20 mins away, so you get the best of both worlds. Coastal and mountain holiday.
Peaceful, relaxing setting, sitting by the firepit every evening and watching the stars when it got dark, simply stunning.
We will 100% return, as my partner said "We have found our place." ❤️

Fancy some time at the Ceredigion coast? Start with a trip to Aberystwyth (20 minutes’ drive) for a walk on the beach and along the pier, a visit to the castle and a ride on the cliff railway. You could also board a (dog-friendly) steam train on the Vale of Rheidol Railway for the trip to Devil's Bridge Waterfalls. Elsewhere along the coast, you could visit the beach and colourful harbour in Aberaeron (40 minutes) or take a long walk on the Ceredigion Coast Path. Turn inland slightly and there are lovely walks at National Trust - Llanerchaeron (40 minutes). For more rural time, head to Hafod Estate (20 minutes), which has 500 acres of space, or get along for red kite feeding time at Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre (half an hour). Dogs are allowed into the Silver Mountain Experience (half an hour) too, but they can’t join you on an underground tour.
