Brighouse Bay Holiday Park

Gostou We had a great stay at this campsite! The toilets and shower facilities were kept very clean throughout our visit, which made things so much more comfortable. The playground is fantastic – it’s spacious with several different play areas and equipment to keep the kids entertained for hours. I especially liked that the play area is thoughtfully divided, with a section specifically designed for toddlers, making it safe and enjoyable for younger children too.

Não gostou One small suggestion would be to add a sink at a lower height in the toilets for kids to use – it would make things even more family-friendly. Overall, a wonderful spot for families!

Gostou Good size pitches, grass kept short. Toilets, showers and wash up areas were clean. I loved the shower, toilet and sink combined cubicles. Staff friendly and helpful. Other campers respectful of rules and quiet by 10pm.

Não gostou A few more signs around the park. I charged my car at the leisure club and driving back to my pitch in the almost dark was a little disorientating!

Gostou I liked the shop and surrounding areas shop prices were fair, loved the beach nearby, kids loved the park

Não gostou My pitch was rocky (63) WiFi I paid for wouldn't stay on any longer 3 seconds, there was a riot opposite us between a group of ppl at around 1 am shouting swearing too rowdy and too loud should possibly introduce regular patrols throughout a 24 hr period, showers weren't very clean, felt like sardines crammed into a tin, had a dreadful experience it's not the place it's the ppl going,, needs to be manned better

Não gostou Over priced on the site in the shop and club house, the toilets kept over flowing and no body wants to see other people's 💩
Food tasted like dog food void the steak pie.
People not following the rules about been quiet at night dogs barking until stupid a o'clock.
The games room is a joke and smells no prizes in the 2p machine and the grab machines are rigged.
And WiFi is useless and the shop ran out of ice creams and drink on hot days

Gostou Layout of site, pitches and on-site facilities (shop, shower options). Good location, beach and coastal walks. Lots for kids to do, play park and swimming pool. Variety suited us, as a large group including some children and dogs.

Não gostou Site does warn of poor signal and wifi before booking…. and they’re right. You can purchase a package but it’s still a bit intermittent. Not too much of a problem for us. Just need to be prepared.

Gostou The situation of the campsite, as the area is stunning. easy access to the beach and coast.
The facilities were good, especially for youngsters e.g. The park, swimming pool. The campsite shop provides all essentials at reasonable prices.
It appears that most of the pitches available were good for camping.. Level and spacious with electric

Não gostou We visited at peak season during school holidays and because of this it was very busy (naturally so). Unfortunately due to increased use the male showers/toilets were often left quite dirty and unhygeinic by those using them. Despite this the Park staff were visible trying to keep on top of it.
Car drivers ignoring the 10 mph limit within the park, as there were lots of kids riding bikes/playing.

Gostou We spent 7 days here in glorious sunshine. The staff were extremely helpful, whether in reception, the shop that was well stocked and reasonably priced or the bar, we especially loved the layout of the site. Pitches were generous, it was broken up into several fields so didn’t appear as big as it was, we were placed opposite the kids play area and a legendary wooded area that our kids like most of the kids their age (under 10) felt so safe to play in making dens, swinging on rope swings from a large tree and feeling free to be kids whilst remaining in our sight throughout. Aside from that there’s a large play area for various age groups and a swimming pool on site to keep them entertained. There was kids entertainment on 2 of the nights which was a great buzz for them too. Toilets and shower blocks I can’t fault, 3 different blocks to appeal to different tastes, always clean. We had several dogs in our group, for the furry members there was walks in the woods along the shoreline and along the beach or up on the headland along the golf course to enjoy. I can’t fault it. 10/10 from me. Note not that it’s their fault there is no phone signal in the area, but you can sign up to WiFi for the week to have online access which was just fine.
