Gostou We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Very helpful and friendly owner. Lovely wee site, with beautiful surrounds. Local amenities clod by. Hidden wee gem.

Não gostou The showers (female) didn’t drain too well.

Gostou The site was very clean and beautifully presented. The toilet facilities are -immaculate. Check-in was welcoming with everything explained.
It is easily accessible from the M6 but tucked away to be quiet.
There are lovely walks from the campsite along the canal towpaths.
There are facilities on site (bar) and eating facilities close by.

Gostou It was a lovely quiet campsite and the staff were really helpful. Particularly when my car battery was flat when I was leaving. Will definitely look at booking again in the future.

Não gostou Nothing that was the fault of the site. Unfortunately I picked the rainiest day of the week to stay. I'd love to go back when the weather is better

Gostou Beautiful, quiet site with gorgeous surroundings. Everyone was respectful of each other, dogs stayed on leads and sound from the bar was at a minimum, which made for a really relaxing stay.

Não gostou The toilet/shower block was a bit of a walk from the tent pitches, it wouldn’t put me off returning though.

Gostou Fantastic Stay – Everything You Need for a Peaceful Night at the Lakes

From the moment we pulled up to the site, we were warmly greeted by the staff at reception who couldn’t have been more helpful, kind, and welcoming. They provided clear and easy-to-follow instructions on where to pitch up for the night, which made getting settled in stress-free.

The pitch itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and level—perfect for parking up the campervan without any hassle. Hooking up to the electric and water was incredibly straightforward, with all the necessary facilities conveniently located and easy to access.

The wash facilities were excellent—large, clean, and well-maintained. It’s clear that care and attention go into keeping the site in top condition. The location was absolutely beautiful and ideal for families, with a dedicated children’s play area that was safe and well thought out.

What really stood out was how peaceful the site was. Everyone staying there was respectful, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere that really helped us unwind. The WiFi signal was strong throughout our stay, which was an added bonus and worked without any issues.

We had a great night’s sleep and left feeling refreshed. The site had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the Lakes. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to others looking for a well-run, family-friendly, and tranquil place to stay.

Gostou Peaceful site with lovely walks and easy access to main routes for trips out. Will definitely return.

Gostou Quiet and peaceful site with level pitches.
Very Clean Site, groundsman works hard.
Toilets and showers clean, nice warm water.
The resident ducks.
Nice canal over the main road if you fancy a walk, but this road is dangerous to cross due to speeding cars.

Não gostou Very dangerous site, safety wise if you have children, very steep drops with no safety barriers, into fast following river. ( would not recommend this site to people with children accident waiting to happen.)
Onsite pub closed despite reception being open, onsite shop also closed,
( advertised as being open until 6pm, this is a lie ), only seems to open when the man owner can be bothered.
Very dangerous main road if you want to walk off site, a national speed limit road, you take your life into your own hands to try and cross.
No information given about the site or local area despite telling the man on reception we have not visited before.
This site shop and pub could be nice little earners but man on reception said he was to busy to open them.
Constant noise of motorbikes screaming up main road of an evening.
Nothing onsite for children, apart from a pump tap, pumping dirty muddy water.

Gostou The site is quiet and small. The ladies facilities were ok/clean.

Não gostou The men’s toilet block was dirty and in need of a clean (dirty sinks, toilets and showers). The elsan point was old/in need of updating/repairing.
