Gostou The location is absolutely amazing and the pitch was quiet (right at the far end). The staff are really friendly. The kids liked the pool. But really it’s all about the location, the beach, and sunsets into the sea.

Não gostou For the price, the facilities are basic. The shop has no fresh food (and almost no wine or beer…) and the bar area is very lack-lustre. I didn’t see any food being served. It shuts at 9pm and was empty even when the campsite was full. It’s all rather overpriced. There is one toilet block for the whole site and it was a long way from our pitch. It looks like it used to be men and women’s but inexplicably the two parts are both now unisex.

Gostou As everyone says… we really liked the deep pool, the great pizzas, the quietness, the friendly bar, the big pitches, the clean toilets, the cheap washing machine…

Não gostou We left early because my teenagers were restless. They said the field was great but the climbing frame is very wobbly and in need of attention. (Étang de St Esteph was ok but you needed to prebook the paddleboards on a busy day). They both really stressed about the toilet and shower locks not working. I’d have loved to have other food on offer as well as pizza.. The WiFi only works near the bar.

Gostou Friendly campsite which does (almost) everything well. There’s a good bar and small shop, both open in mornings and evenings, with great pizzas - and they have fresh bread 7 days a week too. Nice balance of a lively restaurant but dead quiet by 11pm The kids loved the swimming pool. The facilities are generally good and everything is clean. The location is lovely- shops, sea and sunsets a short drive away.

Não gostou There wasn’t quite enough for my teenagers to do. They suggested more ‘space’ for them - more outdoor seating in the top corner perhaps?... The pitches are quite small and the neighbours are pretty close. There is no soap in the toilet blocks.. which I always find a bit grim 😬

Não gostou The cockerels ! At 3.23am ..then regularly until dawn. Just unnecessary, next to a campsite in town. I’d been woken by a camper van coming in at midnight too. So a really disturbed night.

Gostou We came by accident as the north coast was absolutely fully booked. It’s a fantastic location for exploring this area, As others have said, it’s well organised with friendly knowledgeable staff and clean toilet blocks …

Não gostou We found it rather over-engineered, with a lot of gravel, too much lighting for our tastes, and too much security fencing. I suspect it’s designed for keeping motorhomes secure, but it’s odd to have closed gates everywhere. (The tent pitches are outside the security fence and the toilets are inside, for example, in the brightly lit gravel area). I also struggled with the dog walking area and the lovely kids woodland /stream play area being essentially the same place. It’s hard to let kids roam free when there are big dogs also roaming free.. (It’s so close to working … maybe just would be an idea to separate those areas )

Gostou Lovely location and relaxed feel. Huge pitches and masses of space. Facilities generally very good . The zip wire over the lake was amazing… and free paddle boards too.

Do gerente: Dear Angela, We are very sorry for the inconviences regarding the upper toilet block! Unfortunately, our regular cleaning fairy was ill and her replacement was apparently not satisfactory. =( Cleanliness is very important to us so that this is really a no-go! Since Martin and me were also sick we couldn't control the work of the temporary cleaning person and none of the guests gave us a feedback. What a pity! :( Again, we are really sorry! Furthermore, we are grateful that you still appreciated the rest of your stay and hope to be able to welcome you again one day! <3 All the best for you, Martin and Jana

Gostou Fantastic site which does all the detail well. Stayed twice as long as we planned to! Outstanding in the provision for older kids. Owners relaxed but attentive. Best campsite showers ever, clean toilets, food and drink offerings perfect. Swimming pool is great . Loved how the sports and games are nearly all free, and balls and equipment provided. It’s extremely good value for money and lots of extras are included free (Wi-Fi, water cooler, etc) Huge tent pitch with lots of shade. Sociable bar area but site was quiet after 11ish.

Não gostou We struggled a little with finding things to do in the area . Also the road noise was annoying when the site is so peaceful.

Gostou Beautifully quiet with really attentive new hosts. Just enough to do - with great swimming pool, kids playground, local walks and a small bar on site in the early evening.

Não gostou I hadn’t noticed on the website that the pool is shut on Mondays - even in August… Also the 11am leave time seems unnecessarily stressful. I’d happily swap a later depart time for a later arrival (2pm, say).

Do gerente: We thank you for this review. And yes, the swimming pool is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., until September 1st. For the departure time, at 11 a.m., this allows us to maintain the pitches and avoid mowing during meal time. This does not prevent you from continuing to enjoy the campsite's facilities for the day, such as the swimming pool. I'm looking forward to seeing you again !

Não gostou Note the swimming pool staff enforce the French rule about men and boys wearing Speedo’s (no baggy shorts). You can buy them at SuperU in Evron.

Gostou The staff were all really friendly and welcoming . The children loved the water slides. We really appreciated the owners’ commitment to closing the bar after the entertainment, so that the children could get to bed. The toilet block was cleaned regularly and the facilities were all good (bar, bread delivery, laundry etc)

Não gostou We struggled a little with camping on hard standing. I would have preferred the tent pitches to be a bit further away from the bar etc. It was very hot when we were there so I was glad we had asked for a shady pitch.

Não gostou Layout seemed unnecessarily dangerous, with the main drive right by the playground. The swimming pool booking system was very dubious. Every user (age 5 and over) needed their own email address. Road noise kept us awake.
