Gostou Location, friendly pub on site staff made you feel like locals and they loved dogs. Nice warm showers Adults only

Gostou The site is very shaded by the trees along the river which was fabulous as we arrived on the hottest day of the year 36 degrees! Very clean bathrooms, staff were lovely both onsite and in the pub. Pub onsite was a bonus and the breakfast was great Plenty of woods to visit nearby and frampton on Severn is a beautiful village that’s well worth a visit only just over a mile away.

Não gostou Showers were very hot especially in the boiling weather and there is no way of turning them down. Could not get any WiFi unless you were in the pub and my phone signal was non existent most of the time, but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

Gostou The location was great for exploring the western lakes. Small and friendly campsite in a lovely area and the Bridge Inn next door was a real bonus. Facilities were clean and modern and although there were only 2 showers in each block (50p slots) we never had to wait at all. The owner was very friendly and helpful and George the black Labrador was a great character who played in the river which runs through the site with our own black Labrador Jagger. Wastwater which is only 2 1/2 miles away is the most breath-taking view I have ever seen and my photos were spectacular!!! As this was only my second time camping I was not impressed with the weather when we arrived as it started to rain when we were putting the tent up in the morning and never stopped until 5am the next morning so we were a bit wet BUT the next 3 days were fantastic and my husband and I got better tans than when we went to the Caribbean for two weeks!! Great site, amazing surroundings, so chilled and we will definitely return.
