Gostou very convenient location for the Ferry port, a good restaurant and bar, and friendly helpful people

Não gostou the campers and tents were packed in far too closely; and we rather thought the use of the word 'playa' might mislead.....we didn't find anything resembling what we think of as a playa without a kilometre of the site, and we noted that while the site advertises online as camping playa arenillas, the name on the gate and on the cafe door, is just 'camping arenillas', which suggests they couldn't find an actual beach either!!

There is the possibility that when you saw it, the tide was high. .Anyway you can check it trhought the pictures we have got in our web site. And beach is at 100 mtres. About the pitches, we do not understand your comment, because on that time pitches on the site are the 50% vacant, and we allow to ours guest to choose his place. Não gostou Nothing we disliked....although we were glad other reviewers had mentioned the industrial park you go through just before the camping gates:—/if we hadn’t known we would have feared what sort of site we were getting into

Gostou The location is convenient for what we wanted to do

Não gostou Cramped, quite noisy, pitches awkwardly laid out for manoeuvring campervans in and out (trees in the middle of the pitch...). And the reception staff weren’t a jolly bunch!

Gostou The people really naming the place: at all levels they were friendly and knowledgeable, and went out of their way to help with even small questions and requests

Não gostou The layout is awkward for campervans: anything over 6m or so will have problems negotiating the bends and steep slopes round the site, and getting into the pitches

Não gostou Needs a wee bit of TLC in pretty well every part of the site We found it hard to get from Thiviers town boundary to the site even with the PItchUp Lat/Long info: I gathered we came into Thiviers from an unusual direction where there are less signs and where the roads aren’t all manageable even in our small van

Não gostou Lack of sanitaires (2/4 blocs were fully closed and in one of the others the gents side was closed, and we were allocated the sole motor home pitch which sits at the opposite end of the camp to the one bloc with a gents space..... and then we found it is you not the camp who provides the toilet paper)

Não gostou PitchUp info said check in 12noo till 7pm but the reception closes 12-3 so we had a good couple of hours standing and walking around looking for someone to let us into the site.....but whether that information error is Utah beach’s fault or that of PitchUp, I dunno!!
