Gostou **not a lot The site was generally okay, but I don’t think I would return. When we arrived, we had to wait around an hour for reception to reopen, which isn’t what you want after a long drive. The toilet facilities weren’t the cleanest, and there was no toilet paper provided, so you need to bring your own. The swimming pool is only open in the afternoons, and swimming hats are compulsory, which was disappointing. There were also quite a few flies and ants around the site. Another downside was that many of the activities aren’t included for campers—you have to pay extra. They are only free if you’re staying in one of the lodges or other accommodation. You’re not allocated a pitch on arrival either; you’re simply told to find one yourself. That’s fine if there are suitable pitches available for your vehicle. Fortunately, we found a nice flat pitch near the exit, and our area was quiet, which was a positive. There is, however, a supermarket about a 5-minute walk from the site, which is handy. Apart from that, the village itself felt very quiet—almost everything was closed and we didn’t see many people around when we went for a walk. It was a shame, as it could be a lively little village and would benefit from tourism, but it felt more like a ghost town.

Gostou Beautiful location lovely owners come out of campsite turn left to lake or turn right to beach really lovely site lots to do …. Bathrooms could of done with being a little cleaner few cobwebs and some time no loo roll but apart from that a lovely campsite we will be back
