Gostou Grounds clean and well maintained

Não gostou Disabled toilet/showers disgraceful. Toilet unusable as top of cistern missing so unable to flush. Seat missing from shower unable to use shower. whole area dirty. Baby changing facility used as storage not useable. Informed owner about the disabled area not really interested his solution was to give it a so called clean. It was still dirty after. The club/restaurant was damaged by fire several years ago this has just been pulled down. If you need to eat find a pub nearby

Gostou Friendly staff, large pitch

Não gostou No food or drink available as roof had been damaged in a storm several months ago on restaurant/bar building I wasn't aware until we arrived which meant we had to go out all the time to eat. The pitch was gravel but a 1/3 was under an inch or more of water I appreciate there was a lot of rain but nothing seemed to be happening to clear the affected pitches, there were a lot. Part of the road was also flooded. No lighting on the site at night which is not good going to showers/toilets not ideal especially for women. Disabled toilets not cleaned for 2 days. Dog friendly but dog walking area was closed. We have stayed here before but standards have fallen drastically. Would not stay here again unless there are major changes

Gostou Immaculate well maintained site. Nice level pitches . Toilet block one of the cleanest we have seen. Good disabled toilet/showers etc. Close to main road but we were not bothered by road noise. Easy access to surrounding towns/villages. Friendly staff. Would defiantly stay again

Gostou I'm afraid nothing good to mention

Não gostou Paid for a full-service pitch but was unable to connect the wastewater to the drain as it was set above the level of the caravan outlet (pitch 7), looked around and all the drains were above ground level. The whole service pitch road area is gravel so if you use a wheelchair or other mobility device you are going to struggle. Our pitch was so small I could not park in front of the van and instead had to park on the mud bath next to it. There are only 2 shower blocks for the entire camp that's 6 showers with very limited space and nowhere to hang clothes/towels etc OK in winter but in the busy season it would be awful. No club/bar, no restaurant/takeaway in fact nothing on the site. It's miles from anywhere down narrow roads.

Gostou Nice large level pitches, well maintained grounds. If you like fishing there are 3 lakes. Toilet/shower blocks very clean. Elsan point was one of the few I've seen with hand washing facilities although soap and towel dispensers were empty. Despite this we would go there again

Não gostou Could only get evening food on Friday and Saturday, shop poorly stocked couldn't even get a packet of biscuits. Not enough waste bins. Water/electric points need replacing, connecting the electrics the whole thing moved around might just be a one off

Gostou When we arrived, we were met at reception by a really friendly and helpful young lady then unlike other sites we have been on we were taken to our pitch by the warden who made sure we knew where everything was, toilets club etc, what was part of our pitch where the water/ waste etc was. The pitch was level and the grounds immaculately kept. The toilet/showers were immaculately clean probably the cleanest of any site we have ever stayed on. Can highly recommend the food in the restaurant we ate there 3 times and had 3 great meals the steak and ale pie was awesome. Highly recommended will defiantly return next year

Não gostou Nothing to do with the site but if you're using a sat nav check the final part of the route, there are 2 ways off the main road one is easy the other takes you down some very narrow lanes which is not ideal with 8mts of caravan behind you. Take the first turning you see to Atlantic Bays

Gostou Although we didn't use them there were loads of facilities available, parks swimming bars takeaway. Close to Dawlish the bus stop is very close by. Supermarket close by.

Não gostou Motorhomes are encouraged but unless you stay on a full service pitch good luck getting water to fill your onboard tank and emptying the "grey waste". I asked at reception where the motorhome fill point was as I have on other sites and was just shown where the points were around the site on a map. I ended up driving around the site looking for a water point I could get close to. Eventually managed to fill up and all was well until I was ready to leave and asked where the "grey water" waste point was located eventually someone at reception said it was in the car park. I went to look and found the "waste point" it was a normal rain drain in the middle of the road. I had to stop blocking the carpark until I had emptied my tank. If a site of this size wants Motorhomes to stay they need to provide proper facilities and not tipping waste down the carpark drain. I might as well have stopped beside the road. Very poor. staff also need training as no one knew where anything was. WIFI £6 a rip off
