Gostou Close to amenities, option for late checkout, laundry room, play area for under 10s, everything needed in one block, not to far to walk to utilities block, Emma was helpful

Não gostou Showers and toilets could do with updating, water pressure not great unless you shower late evening when most are back at their pitch, cars driving past pitches to get to their pitch are almost touching guy ropes, games room uneven floor so pool tables wobble during play, air hockey table doesn’t work (no mains cable) table tennis table has bats and boules balls to play which obviously are to heavy to use. Play area states under 10s when my 6&9 year olds went to play there were older teens sat on the swings on their phones ignoring requests to let the little ones play, Quiet time 11pm- 8am Lorry arrived onsite every night after 11pm (possibly residential pitch) quite loud, motorbike started every morning from 7am. Pictures on advertising are outdated.

Gostou Everything! Amanda was very welcoming showed us all amenities on arrival, good sized pitches, hot showers, a full sized indoor kitchen area. Clean and well maintained grounds and facilities

Não gostou Sensor lighting in the toilets, if in the shower the light obviously goes off as the sensor doesn’t see movement (you would need to stay here to understand what I mean) no lighting in pitch area maybe a dim light would be beneficial for when walking up to shower/toilet block and another in bin/recycling area

Do gerente: Thank you for your review and so pleased you enjoyed your stay. The sensor in the showers has been sorted, so no more showers in the dark. we have taken on board your other comments and will look into more lighting around the site and the waste area.

Gostou What I read the site had to offer hence the booking

Não gostou The site was not as described, we arrived and left without checking in. On arrival our first sight was a scrap metal van full, went a bit further to see obvious residential caravans these were green the awnings were green one caravan was lop sided touching the floor on the front end. We drove round to the reception area on our way noticed cramped pitches over lapping guy ropes, vans parked all over. In an attempt to salvage our holiday we booked another site whilst sat out side reception, through out our holiday at another site we checked the reviews and are confident we made the right decision not to stay here reviews stating fighting and police presence antisocial behaviour. Definitely not a site for children!

Gostou Kids liked play area and blackberry picking on site, nice river side camping, pub & shop on site

Não gostou 2 toilets 1 shower for ladies same for men 300 yards from main camping (not sure why it’s in the middle of statics) although cleaned there was no broom/mop to clean up after showering so the next to use has to walk in to a mess, no drainage/waste on pitches with water so muddy puddles were left, wasted space near play are which could accommodate closer showers and toilets

Gostou This is our second time staying here kids loved the bouncy castle and climbing frame and birds, this year they had just opened the falconry my son loved holding the barn owl and kissing the baby barn owls! Staff were friendly and welcoming as they were the first time we visited. This site is now our yearly camping trip. It’s affordable easy to find and everything you need is on site.

Não gostou The only thing we didn’t like this time was the un even pitch we didn’t notice until bedtime when we were sleeping on a tilt. obviously with tents and caravans using the same pitches this is understandable and was a very minor issue to us not even worth complaining about

Gostou Quiet site, large pitches, level ground, basic site plenty of fields for the kids to run around in,

Gostou The chilled atmosphere of the site, kids allowed to be kids and run freely! Clean and tidy facilities, wasn’t there to use the Wi-Fi so I can’t comment on the signal, booked 2 nights to test out new tent, have already booked to stay again this year
