The excellent facilities and quality of pitches as well as a reasonable price for electric and water pitches

We stayed at The Hop Farm for one night on Saturday. We were late arriving due to a delay getting into Dover on our way back from Calais. I contacted Sue by email to let her know and she gave me all the out of hours arrangements but was in fact there to meet us when we got there. Sue was very welcoming and was the final important link in the delivery of our wayward Take Away!!The Hop Farm is a big site- I think mostly grass pitches. There was a good mix of m/homes, camper and, tents and caravans and loads of safe space for kids to play. There was a pretty substantial Car Boot Sale being set up this morning as we left but regrettably I didn’t have time for a browse! It’s in the field beside the campsite but doesn’t have any affect on it.

Hardcore area on the hard standing pitch was a little small but didn’t really bother us as the conditions were dry

Located near Medway river where we went paddle boarding nearly everyday

Phone call following booking was awesome. Nice touch.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Apologised for noise when moving bins and cutting grass. They weren’t noisy!
Groundsmen always busy, they kept site tidy, disposed of an enormous amount of rubbish and equipment campers dumped or left behind.

Advert suggested there was a shop, pub and restaurant on site.
The shop was in the office and not exactly a shop. Staff recommended the local co-op and gave a map on how to get there.
Pub and restaurant was a Brewers Fayre, not exactly on campsite as inferred.
Dogs off leads all the time on site. Ignoring the site information.
Cannabis being smoked nearby. Really strong smelling. Had to go inside camper to escape smell. Selfish campers.
Showers ever so small, cubicles had one hook so limited room to keep clothing dry. Nowhere to put toiletries other than on floor.
Very dirty facilities on our first 2 days but this is down to people not looking after the toilet and shower area. Did not use facilities those days.

Had the whole field to ourselves. Plenty of water points. Welcomed beautifully and given information about the local area. Lovely reception area and lovely walks around near the site xxxxxxx

There was some rubbish and litter around. The showers could have been bigger and cleaner. Same with the toilets but there were loo brushes in all toilets so some people were not cleaning after themselves!

Not much to like at all. The sun was out, I suppose that's a positive.

Dirty toilet blocks. Absolutely nothing to do on site, hop farm seems completely closed down. People smoking weed around young children, generally very rough.

This is around the third time we have camped here. We like-
Toilets & showers pretty clean and never busy
Site is huge so you can always feel well spaced from others. It's also really pretty and there are nice walks.
River at the back of the site so you can bring kayak/paddleboard and can swim. Also quite a few tyre swings etc.
Nice staff.
Large supermarket (Tesco) only about 10 mins away so easy to stock up.

As there is a lot of water - there are a lot of mosquitos - even with spray we were eaten alive
Sinks for washing up are too low. Just the right height to give you back ache!
Would be good if a food truck came sometimes.

Huge open field for sports, easy river access, pub in rowing distance, great fishing spot, woodland fun for the kids, 25min walk to the shops, pitch up where you like, camp fires allowed. Ticks all the boxes!

No tap water access in the back field and only one set of bins near the entrance to the field so both are a bit of a trek.

Great location, very spacious pitches. Fantastic walks along the river Medway.
