I am sorry you did not enjoy your 1 night stay.
It is unfortunate that The Hop Farm and Family Park is closed, this has been advertised as closed since January.
Families with young children have been enjoying the river, however they have brought life jackets for them.
Perhaps you will visit again to enjoy the country and river walks and bring some indoor and outdoor games for you and the family to enjoy together.

The further away from the facilities, the quieter and more secluded the area however, it is a longer walk or drive to use the wash rooms.
The Hop Farm family park is closed for the whole of 2024 and when you book via pitch-up under the "Please note" section on the front page it says the visitor attraction/children rides are closed for refurbishment, this has been advertised since the beginning of January 2024. The farm and family park was not part of the campsite, when staying here guests got half price entry to visit between 10am and 4pm weekends and school holidays.

Whilst in constant use it is not possible to do deep cleans as this takes a few hours, hopefully we can get them re-fitted which will help with cleaning as tiles do become damaged with age.

The older toilet and shower block does need renovating as it has become very difficult to maintain, however it does not help when some guests are not respectful of the facilities.

The water points next to the electrics are within code and guests enjoy this convenience whilst staying on electric pitches.
The showers and toilets are only cleaned twice per day during the week as not many guests staying so only 1 block open. It would be cleaner if everyone were to tidy up after themselves or not allow their children to go in without adult supervision. When we are notified of any breakages these are mended immediately.
The shop only sells UHT milk as fresh milk if not sold would be wastage. It is un-fortunate the freezer broke 2 days before your departure therefore we were unable to sell ice-creams.
If a guest takes the wrong pitch after checking in it can cause confusion if we are unaware of this. We gave you 2 pitches a few yards away from where you should have been even though you only paid for 1 pitch.

As you both had extra large tents I gave you 2 pitches each rather than just the 1 you paid for.

We have a quiet policy which means no music after 10pm and to respect other guests who may be trying to sleep, we remind guests when checking in of this policy and it is on the website before booking and printed on the back of the check-in cards.
When staying in a tent and leaving it un-occupied for any amount of time it is advisable to lock any valuables in your vehicles. I am sorry you had £5 stolen from your tent.

It is lovely to see parents with four young children enjoying themselves, I used to take my four children camping every other weekend from March to October when they were young enjoying the outdoors with not a play park or amusement park in sight.
