Nowhere near enough water taps or grey/chemical toilet waste disposal areas. Rubbish literally everywhere. Brambles overgrown in areas connecting different fields which resulted in scratching the caravan windows. Generally grotty look as you arrive & in general.
Access to river was downright dangerous as the wooden steps had broken & my partner got a really nasty long scratch right up the back of her calf from an exposed nail which was underwater where the step was broken.
To top it off we had one of our paddles stolen from the grass bank!
Suffice to say, we shall not be returning.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your Bank Holiday weekend.
There were large bins in every field and when we did checks there was no rubbish lying around and certainly no reports of this from anyone whilst staying here.
You choose where to stay on non-electric after checking in and a map is given with all of the fields and where the water points and facilities are. We had lots of caravans and motorhomes staying over this weekend using all of the fields, it would appear you were the only ones to be unfortunate enough to have your windows scratched.
The wooden steps into the river are not on the campsite grounds and they were not put up by the Hop Farm, when we noticed them we got maintenance to remove them.
You did report your lost paddle as you were leaving, I took your name and phone number in case it turned up, sadly it has not, if it does I will let you know. None of your issues or concerns were reported to me either as you were leaving or whilst you were staying.

We camped down the bottom field near the river, so we had easy access for fishing and paddle boarding. It was a bit of a trek to the toilets/showers but in the fine weather it wasn't a problem and good exercise.
Our friends stayed in their motorhome on one of the electric pitches and equally loved their spot.....not too crammed in.
Staff are very welcoming, location great and other campers friendly - shame the hop farm was closed for maintenance this year!

There is 1 hook on the inside of the showers for towels (shampoo etc.. would have to be placed on the floor as shelves would reduce the amount of room especially for mum`s who have young children in with them) and 1 hook on the outside to hang clothes or a bag on.
The older block that was open is in need of a re-fit as it is not possible to do a deep clean on a daily basis.
