Camping Los Naranjos

Like to get a bit busy on your beach days? Head up to Borriana, half an hour’s drive away, to master the techniques of sea kayaking, paddleboarding or sailing. Novices can learn to scuba dive here too, while qualified divers can take trips to the Columbretes Islands to plunge into the gorgeously clear waters. Further aquatic antics can be had at the Aquarama waterpark, half an hour away. For something a little gentler, take a walk around the L'Estany de Nules nature reserve, or the Roman villa at Benicató – both are around 20 minutes away by car. For a slice of city life, head to Valencia, 45 minutes away, to visit the City of Arts and Sciences, eat your way round the fab food market and get a culture fix at the cathedral and fine arts museum. The city’s Bioparc zoo, where the animals are kept in as natural a habitat as possible, is well worth a visit too.
