Camping Cala Llevadó

Cala Llevadó is in the spectacular and famed bay of Santa Maria de Llorell, rightly hailed as one of the prettiest places on the Costa Brava. Snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing, waterskiing, kayaking and banana boating are all close by, along with mountain hikes and mountain biking for landlubbers around the Girona foothills of the Pyrenees. Hike to Tossa de Mar from the site along the Camí de Ronda (GR 92) coastal path, on a viewsome route that should take about 45 minutes (another, tougher, route running alongside the sea and worth it for the splendid sea views should have you in town in about two hours). As well as the beaches, Tossa time should include tours of the town on the blue and white tourist train, and rides on the green and white train up to the top of the old fort next to the beach; pick up info on these and on the fab local walks at the Tossa tourist office. For day trips, Girona is 55 minutes' drive away; Figueres an hour and 15 minutes, and Barcelona an hour and 25.
