Camping Canyelles

There’s plenty round here to fill days, starting with a trip into Lloret de Mar, 10 minutes’ drive away. The town has beaches if you're still yearning for more sandy time, and its clifftop gardens, kids’ theme park and busy nightlife are all worth experiencing. It’s also a major jumping-off point for boat trips to Blanes, Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu de Guíxols during high season. Prefer to stick to the road network? It’s 15 minutes from base to Tossa de Mar to explore the traditional fishing village’s walled Old Town, visit its lighthouse and lounge about on beaches. Costa Brava ‘gateway’ Blanes, with its beaches, watersports, botanic gardens, hilltop castle and old seafront, is 20 minutes away. More keen on shopping and urban explores? Guests can be in the city of Girona within 50 minutes, wandering the fortified Old Town, crossing the Gustave Eiffel-designed bridge, visiting museums and burning holes in credit cards. Longer jaunts can be taken to Barcelona (an hour and 25 minutes) for the Catalan capital’s famed sites, including the spectacular La Sagrada Familia and a whole host of other Gaudí masterpieces.
