Freizeitpark Camping Schüttehof

Gostou Toilets and showers were immaculate! Never dirty and like they had just been installed! Beautiful walk to the village through a little footpath hidden at the back of the site. The swimming pool was much better than we expected, really big. Great location for exploring the area. Hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at ease.

Não gostou There was no where on site where the children could play (we thought we found a nice patch behind the restaurant, but was told it was not for playing). We were pitched (by host) by a hedge backing on to the restaurant. We had couple of nights of loud talking from people in the beer garden, who it felt like was sat about 3 feet from the tent.

Gostou Easy to find, usefully stocked shop, English spoken, the grass and hedges were well kept, the pool was clean. The new kids play area should be nice when it’s finished.
Hot showers but are token operated.

Não gostou Some of the static touring caravans looked really scruffy as you drive to your pitch it gives a negative initial impression. The pool was freezing but it was July and not much sun. The facilities were clean but not spotless and the showers needed a paid for token to use. The barriers were locked at lunch time even though they were number plate recognition to get in.

Não gostou There is no vehicle access to or from the site between 12:30 and 14:30, whether you are already staying on-site or just arriving. No exceptions. If arriving between those hours be prepared to wait!

Gostou Campsite clean and tidy. Kitchen area was excellent, well equipped for quests who were camping. Everything there you would need, especially ourselves as we were travelling on a motorbike.

Não gostou The timings of check in, felt we had to wait around an hour until someone was available although it did state it was 3pm check on, unfortunately our ride got us there earlier, so no option to check in earlier.

Gostou Het eten in het restaurant, al zag de buiten en de binnenkant van het gebouw er gedateerd uit.
Ook al liet de verf los op meerdere plekken onder water mijn zoon heeft genoten van het zwembad.

Não gostou Het ontvangst was niet al te vriendelijk , het onderhoud aan gebouwen en zwembad was toe aan een update verf liet los, tegels lagen los geen trapje maar een keuken opstapje om bij de lig bedjes te komen. Op de platte grond stond boogschieten maar toen we gingen kijken bleek het hutje waar je vroeger (2018) kon aanmelden niet meer in gebruik en kon je dus ook niet boogschieten. Kortom op internet werd het mooier beschreven als dat het was, ik en mijn zoon van 11 gaan er niet meer heen.
