Domaine des Bruguières

Craving simple adventures in the outdoors? Never fear, there are plenty of those to keep you occupied just a short drive from Domaine des Bruguières. With a medieval château and a river to its name, take your fishing gear to Carcès (20 minutes’ drive) or go hunting down its waterfalls, Falls Caramy (25 minutes). The Troglodyte caves of Villecroze (25 minutes) are simply splendid too, with a second waterfall (35 metres high, no less), oaks, pines, vaulted passages, bell towers, caves and fountains. Fréjus (an hour) may be further on, but it’s an excellent spot for simple manmade amusements, beach days or historical tours. Get those amusements at Luna Park Fréjus (an hour) and Aqualand Fréjus (an hour and five minutes), and then track down the Roman amphitheatre, aqueduct, cathedral and archaeological museum.
