Camping Le Picard

Gostou: The hosts, Laurent and Delphine couldn't do enough for you excellent. Showers, swimming pool, restaurant and the site was fantastic. Location is perfect, rural and peaceful but less than 10 mins from little town with more than enough shops for provisions, 20 mins from Bayeaux and just a little further to all the D Day beaches and Museums. Have a snack bar/restaurant on site but I believe only open weekends this time of year. Even a little lake that I believe you can fish here.

Gostou: Very good showers and facilities, all kept exceptionally clean and tidy, with rubbish etc. removed regularly, everything in good order. Good hot water with a decent pressure. Nice pool and gardens, interesting flowers Peaceful with little sound of traffic or other disturbance Free wifi around the pitches

Não gostou: Might have benefited from some choice of where to stay, instead of being told "That's your pitch". You can move to another, possibly, but doing so without prior permission is definitely not welcomed. wifi is a bit patchy in places, which can be annoying if the pitch you're assigned to has poor coverage. You can't to anything without a vehicle, and cycling around the area is not very good (traffic, no cycle lanes)

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the location of the campsite but it is written on the description "Peaceful rural site 10 minutes' drive from Le Molay-Littry" which is the nearest village so we thought that it is easily to understand that our guests need a vehicle (perhaps we should be more explicit). Concerning the wifi quality in some areas we remind that the connection is totally free of charge and if you had asked us where to find the best connection, we would have recommended the swimming pool or the garden. About the lack of choice of pitches we have already discussed about it and we always listen to our customers so if you had asked us to change location we would have accepted without any problem but it is correct that you took another pitch without permission without knowing if we had a reservation on it in the next days. Of course a campsite is different that a motorhome service area you cannot choose any available pitches: we have to organize our planning of reservations and also for security reasons. Anyway we hope you had a pleasant stay despite these inconveniences. Best regards. Delphine & Laurent

Gostou: What a fab couple run this delightful site. So much to do around the area including the beautiful Bayeux tapestry. Info with map provided on arrival. Nothing too much trouble

Gostou: This is a fabulous site where the owner manager can’t do enough for you.Very welcoming from first meeting excellent overview of all local attractions and a wealth of knowledge on what to visit within a limited timeframe The facilities were kept spotlessly clean they also have a small bistro on site which serves locally sourced French food and was really tasty I can’t recommend this site highly enough we will definitely stay here again
