And the isolated little cove of Becks Bay, home to this fab and friendly site on a Pembrokeshire farm – check this one off your Welsh holiday list by booking a stay at Becks Bay Camping. Set just back from the coast, Becks Bay Camping is in green, open and scenic space on part of Bubbleton Farm, a couple of miles from Tenby. It's a relaxed place where campfires and roaming around outdoors are both firmly encouraged, and where kids are welcome to meet and feed the farm animals. As it's Pembrokeshire, famed beaches are all around… It's a 15-minute walk to the sands of Lydstep from here, half an hour's amble – or 10 minutes by car – to Tenby South beach, and 10 minutes' drive to more sands at Saundersfoot, all part of a round dozen spectacular beaches within a 15-minute drive. If your foodie vibes just tingled at the word 'farm', you'll no doubt be pleased to hear there's a farm shop here too. Amble across the fields from the site to reach the Bubbleton Farm shop and café, both laden with fresh local Pembrokeshire produce to have there or take away, indoors or out, while the kids entertain themselves feeding the hens and sheep. Also at your disposal are toilets, two hot showers, a living room and – Pembrokeshire bay bliss – a hammock to laze in amid this stunning setting.

Gostou 100% would book again absolutely amazing brilliant for dogs too. Massive field to walk in and then ideal costal path to walk! Campsite was brilliant everything you need there!

Gostou What a lovely campsite! I love how the pitches are marked out by the mown grass and they are very generously sized! Ever so slight sloping, but certainly nothing to be concerned about! Best shower I’ve ever had in my whole life! Water pressure was amazing! I love the recycling situation and the toilets/showers are really tip top. There is a train that runs right past the site, but I didn’t find it a concern. I did notice a lot of bizarre car horns for what appeared to be no reason, but there is a very tight corner/tunnel adjacent to the site, so I realise now that cars are warning each other. I didn’t use the coastal path as I have mobility issues, but I used Tenby taxis to take me to town and back and was £21 for a return journey. I did walk across the field to the coastal path and watched the sunset with a tremendous view. There’s a lovely little farm shop/cafe across the field and it is well worth a visit. Closed on Wednesdays though. Tom the owner was really lovely too. I really loved this little place.

Gostou Lovely showers and toilets (didnt expect), short walk to the cliff and not far to get down to the sea. Lovely quiet site - wasn't bothered by the trains at all. Nice touch to have a pizza oven! Really enjoyed my stay here - only thing to improve was the weather!

Gostou Beautiful site, perfect for exploring the coastline. Everything had been thought of, down to the clothes hanger in the recycling area. Really quirky and rustic.

Não gostou Hmmm, to be really picky, from time to time there was a standing water smell in the main toilet block. There was alot of rain, so probably just the high water table. Certainly wouldn't put me off returning.

Gostou Everything. Easy to find. Friendly people camping. Friendly host. Fire pit on each pitch. Amazingly clean toilets and facilities. The only thing you need to bring with you is the tent. Amazing hot water in showers.

Não gostou It is close to a train line. Last train was like 10/10:30 which kids I can see this being a pain. But honestly not a problem for me.

Gostou Loved it. Good size area, well spaced out. Fabulous facilities in a secluded spot. Wonderful host. V peaceful off grid but v comfortable and not at all inconvenient. Highly recommend farm shop, Manorbier Castle, Tenby and Saundersfoot all with in a good hike/short car journey. Hot tub SO relaxing, v easy to use and made stay extra special. We used 4 packs of wood over 2 nights for cooking and heating tub without scrimping.

Atrações locais

Beaches, castles, coasteering, climbing, abseiling and of course Pembrokeshire surfing are among the top pursuits around the farm, along with fab family days at the likes of Folly Farm 15 minutes' drive away. The closest beach is the sand and pebble stretch of Lydstep, just over a mile away; hail the bus from the stop a few minutes from the farm if you're not up for the walk or drive. From Lydstep, it's another mile or so to the award-winning Tenby South beach and its mile and a half of sand backed by dunes. A wander around town is recommended too, for shops, restaurants, pubs and the tourist information centre. There's a huge pick of family-friendly attractions in Pembrokeshire if you're here with kids (and if you can prise them away from the beach), starting with the rides, maze and indoor and outdoor amusements of Heatherton World of Activities, under 10 minutes away at Tenby.
