Gostou Highly recommend this hidden beauty of a site!

We were looking for a quiet get away with the dog and found Pwllgoed. Stayed here for 6 nights at the start of August in a tent with EHU, tents are positioned in the field just off the hard standing area.
The views from this site were a delight looking over hills and being able to see the sea from the pitch or the other way to see rolling fields with sheep and cattle grazing and the mountains in the distance.
The hosts were amazing very friendly and always available with recommendations of things in the local area.
Local pub and shop only 15 minutes walk away (3 mins in the car). Pub serving food which we didn’t end up trying and the shop being stocked with all the everyday essentials you would need, including a good selection of gluten free bits which you wouldn’t expect from a smaller shop.
You will need to drive out to places from this site with most of the major towns/villages around a 15/20 minute drive. This is typical for this area with it being the rolling valleys of Wales.

Genuinely spotless site with all the facilities feeling brand new, toilets and showers are cleaned multiple times a day.
There are 2 toilets and 2 separate showers both mixed use. Toilets are obviously busier in the morning but we did not have to wait for either due to it being a smaller site, so don’t let this put you off at all.
Toilets are modern and even have Dyson hand dryers.
Showers are on lever controlled which means no push buttons and the water stopping half way through the shower, showers piping hot all times of the day and we both actually felt clean after using them.

Gostou Spotlessly clean, peaceful, plus owners very welcoming and knowledgable about the local area. The local beaches are stunning and accessible via a walk from the site via very quiet lanes and the Village of Tudweiliog. Great facilities.

Gostou Just had a fantastic stay at this site, a working sheep farm in a beautuful setting. Mixture of seasonal caravans, tourers, motorhomes and tents. Small but perfect. We went in our caravan with our daughter and family at the side of us which allowed the grandsons to go between. Loved the little knock on the door in the morning to come in for porridge from our grandsons aged 3 and 5. Eleri and family manage the site really well. We had to change our initial booking by a week due to a family wedding but this was easily sorted with correspondence with Eleri. She gave us some great tips for sights to see before we came so we could research them. The site is spotless with the toilets and showers being checked regularly throughout the day. Every interaction we had with Eleri was warm and friendly. Having watched the recent series of Clarksons Farm it was fascinating to see the easy care sheep they have like on the show, I recognised the shape of the head on the sheep.
The site was a great base for bike rides but also to get to various beaches, different towns and National Trust sites during our stay. The views were fantastic with both the sea and the mountains, so very calm. We've come away with some fantastic memories of our 13 nights here that we'll treasure for a long time. Our daughter and family also loved it with the boys being able to play around the caravan and tent. There aren't any play areas on site but we did our own entertainment. Coming away a very happy person. Thank you Eleri and family.

Gostou The site was lovely. Maintained to a high standard. Fantastic showers and toilets. Always exceptionally clean. The owner was lovely and helpful. The countryside was beautiful and a good spot for exploring the area.
