Whatever type of Welsh holiday you want, you'll find Nyth Robin in splendid setting. This small and secluded spot is right inside Snowdonia National Park for days of hiking and sightseeing, and is also only three miles from Aberdovey, the Cardigan Bay seaside village you can use as a base for day trips to Aberystwyth, Aberaeron, New Quay, Barmouth, Pothmadog and the Llŷn Peninsula. The site itself looks pretty good too, in the hills surrounded by large conifers, and in a wildlife haven with resident buzzards and heron. Its secluded setting means it's in prime position for relaxing, but plenty of outdoor pursuits such as sailing, windsurfing and walking are easily accessible in the surrounding area for those who want to be active. The Nyth Robin owners carefully manage everything to keep guest numbers low, in areas with woodland and lake views, surrounded by plenty of room to roam and relax: let the kids loose to explore the woodland, or take the family (and dog) along the walking trails. Amenities include spotless showers and toilets, a washing-up area and chemical disposal.

Gostou A simply lovely site in a beautiful spot. Great pitches - spotless facilities. My 83 y o mum loved sitting in the swing seat pushing herself with her walking stick. We’ll definitely come again and for longer than just one night so we can explore smugglers’ cove too.

Gostou Beautiful situated and very cleverly designed to retain the feeling of being in a forest. Loved the woodland walk and the proximity to wildlife. Heard owls and saw a sloworm.
Spotlessly clean and excellent shower block facilities.

Gostou Its so beautiful, so mich wildlife and some very well thoughtout facilities. The under cover cook area was a god send in the rain and the lights and fairy lights were lovely. Showers and toilets very clean. Tree swings in the woods and twists and turns to explore - the kids thought the reception and other ammenities had an american camp vibe to them!

Não gostou Need a better connection for your hose in the chemical disposal.

Gostou Great place to stay, bit quirky for those who lile something less typical than a caravan/camping site.

Não gostou Hard standing pitches are exactly that - lacks a bit of on the ground greenery, but there’s plenty around to make up for that, so not a criticism.

Gostou Lovely, quiet site. Excellent facilities. Very clean and well cared for. Owners are very clearly attentive to the site. Easily accessible. We stayed on lower terrace so there are steps or track up to the facility block. No issue with WiFi for us.

Gostou Easy to book in. Lovely facilities. Plenty of places that you can leave your van and have a change of scenery. Big open covered area where you can take your food and eat al fresco.

Park your van at reception and then go and find your pitch that you have been advised of in an email the day before arrival. Then drive your van to the pitch and get yourself set up

We stayed on the lower terrace and there was space there for 5 or 6 vans

Atrações locais

You must get out onto the water in some vessel or other around here, for there's stacks of choice and loads of locations where you can mess around in boats. Aberdovey three miles away is at the mouth of the Dovey river, a popular place for all types of watersports including sailing, windsurfing, yachting, canoeing, paddleboarding, powerboating, kitesurfing and rowing. Dovey Yacht Club and Dovey Rowing Club are in the centre of Aberdovey on the wharf; if you want to give rowing a go, just turn up at the Rowing Club boathouse on the wharf at 10am on a Saturday morning and the members there will be happy to show you the ropes. The Aberdovey harbourmaster is also around for info on the estuary and how to launch and recover your craft if you want to try windsurfing, paddleboarding and canoeing: the long sandy beach is good for launching and recovery, and it’s easy to carry kit from the main car park to the beach. Aberdovey's also a popular base for kitesurfers, who use its beach and large shallow pools to learn to fly their kites, and for sailing in the protected estuary and on the waves of Cardigan Bay. Venturing further afield, Aberdovey is in the centre of Cardigan Bay and so is a nifty base for yacht owners who want to explore the Welsh coast and visit other harbours such as Aberystwyth, Aberaeron, New Quay, Barmouth and Pothmadog, or the ports and marinas of the Llŷn Peninsula.
