Gostou The views were spectacular and the pod was well equipped. There was a big field for the children to play on, and clear signs stating no barbecues or fire pits due to the dry weather and risk of fire.

Não gostou Poor customer service. One of the owners was very diplomatic explaining the rules and changes in the rules, such as the no barbecues, however one of the owners was somewhat hostile. The information states that groups are welcome and that they are family friendly. We had initially booked 3 units for 14 people including grandparents, parents and children all aged 10 and under and all related. However realising the campsite had pods we booked 2 of these also, for the grandparents. No change in numbers just moved to 5 units and £100 a night more for the owners. 1 of our party was clear in the booking that it was a group booking. When we arrived, the owners were unhappy that we had a group booking. The owners raised this with us and when we explained that we had just hired the pods as well, they appeared to throw the rule book at us stating that we must recycle, and we must be quiet by 10pm. One of our party arrived and didn’t immediately call the owners to say she had arrived because her daughter had vomitted over herself so she chose to clean her up first, within 5 minutes of arrival the owners raised this with her and she explained the reason for the delay, however we had already been informed where she should pitch her tent, and the owner continued to be hostile. It appears that we had been pre judged.

Gostou Great view decent showers included close to lots of locations.

Não gostou Not very child friendly, we got told off on arrival for our party being too large and that they had decided not to kick us off. It was a group of mostly over 60s and 30s women with children we kept to ourselves the whole time and didn't cause any trouble. We also mentioned in the booking it was a group booking and if that was ok which was apparently ignored until the day we were supposed to arrive.

Additionally BBQ's and firepits were banned due to the heatwaves and wildfire concerns, totally reasonable. What wasn't reasonable is making no mention or giving any communication of that being the case to guests until they arrive on site. I brought almost entirely all wood for a BBQ to cook on for the entire weekend and was forced to cook everything on a small gas hob I had for emergencies.

I have tried to be very reasonable about the hosts but it very much feels like they want the benefit of hosting a site without it causing them any kind of inconvenience at all.

Gostou Great location, lovely owners and amazing views. We stayed here as a last minute night away to test out our new tentbox and we had a lovely time. Toilet and shower facilities were nice and clean which is all we ask for! Would definitely stay here again, thank you for a lovely stay! Phone signal was perfect too which we aren’t usually bothered about but it came in handy to watch the England game! We spent the day on Saturday in Llanrwst by the river and had a lovely meal in the eagle pub late afternoon, then came back to the campsite to set up and chill for the evening. We then went to Betws-y-coed for breakfast and spent a few hours at the river again before heading home. This site is in a great location for exploring North Wales

Não gostou Not very ‘family friendly’. Children were asked not to play with water on an open field in nearly 30c weather. They were not bothering anyone or near anyone else’s tent/camping vans.

Do gerente: We welcome children and keep the pitches placed around the edge of the field so there is plenty of space for them to play in the central area. We do however object to our metered water supply being wasted especially in these very dry conditions during the heatwave. Children should be encouraged to think of the environment and not waste precious resources.

Gostou This is such a beautiful and peaceful campsite with stunning views. We were greeted on arrival straight away by the owners who were very friendly :)
There is a shop and a pub within 10 minute drive which is perfect for us, as we love the remote location when we go away.

A few reviews mention the roads to the campsite - really not that bad providing you take your time! (Also, not something the campsite can control)

Não gostou I would personally like there to be male and female toilets and shower, but understand it’s a small campsite.

Gostou Picturesque, drive and pitch, no issues, spotless toilets and showers, just like your shower at home, lovely and hot. Central to Conway, Llandudno. Spotless field, bins for all your needs and cleaning up area with a drinking tap, really everything you need for an overnight stop.

Não gostou Although quiet, you are surrounded by a road, although to be fair didn’t hear 1 car as it’s a remote location. Nowhere to go for a walk, you need to be able to drive. I like there to be a woods or a nice walk. So if staying for a few days you need to keep yourself entertained on site, or drive out for the day.

Do gerente: Thank you for your comments. Just to clarify that they are numerous lovely walks directly from the campsite on public footpaths, bridleways and a scenic mountain road walk. It's a shame you didn't ask we'd have been happy to advise you.

Gostou Incredibly friendly owners, amazing views of the national park. Goats provided good entertainment and were amusing. Facilities were well kept and the shower was great.
