Do gerente: Thank you for your review. I apologise you disliked that there was no kettle or powerpoint, we do however offer electric tent pitches to allow our guests to be able to do such things at their tent. We hope you will visit us again.

Gostou: Lovely clean site within a “village” environment with plenty of holiday bungalows for the over 55,s

Não gostou: Lights in toilet are on a timer so went off on me twice whilst showering and changing.

Gostou: We stayed as we going to a concert in Glasgow
Great train connection into Glasgow just a few min walk from the site
The site itself was lovely, staff on welcoming- very friendly and informative

toilet/shower block was warm, clean and very close by.

Não gostou: Another van was very noisy at 1.30am-2.30am
playing music and talking (not the sites fault)

Gostou: The size of the pitches was great with a lovely expanse of grass with picnic tables. Plenty of bins and all signed chemical point. Clean washing area.
Best bit..a short walk to Stepps station and a 15 min train ride to Glasgow.

Não gostou: The showers need a bit of tlc. The water to ages to come through hot and with temperatures of 0 degrees it would have been nice if the heating was on in the toilet block

Do gerente: thank you for your feedback. We have just replaced our water tank and showers so hot water should certainly not be an issue, so we will definitely be investigating this and the issue with the heating. Thank you for bringing them to our attention.

Gostou: Loved how quiet and secure the site felt. This was my first time camping away with my two kids (10 and 7) on my own for two nights. I don't drive but live relatively local. My husband was able to drop us off and pop back to spend the day together. I met no site staff during my stay but there was no issues with site facilities (toilets, bins, grass, etc). Although we didn't use the showers on site. Loved how close the toilet blocks were to the camping space and felt comfortable leaving the kids sleeping to pop to the toilet.

As I booked through pitch up the arrival time stated was after 12 but communication directly from red deer was not before 3pm - just something to watch for if you're booking that I didn't notice until I had arrived.

Would definitely love to come back here, maybe trying my first winter camp.

With regards to check in time, we are fairly flexible with the Camping and Touring Pitches. The 3pm is more aimed at our chalets and holiday homes, although I'll have a look at the wording from our side - thanks for pointing this out.

Gostou: Liked the area. Was out everyday doing something. Visiting relatives at bands at museums wasn't a day we couldn't find anything to do. And trains were on offer at the time, so site well situated

Não gostou: Wasn't impressed with the interior of the chalet, there was a constant dirty smell in the lounge, and a constant damp smell in the bathroom, bough airfreshner but still there, pillows were filthy we went and bought our own pillows, so id recomend taking your own bedding and table placemats were badly stained couldn't be cleaned. With me having no immune system I ended up ill was just so damp and dirty smell. But reception was shut before we got back from our days out....And we couldn't swap as was only chalet one we could see with a ramp access. I'd stay again but not in that chalet has a serious damp issue.

Do gerente: thank you for your comments. although the office was closed when you returned from your trips, we wish you would have emailed the office to give us the chance to address your concerns. we apologise for your experience as this is certainly not the standard we would expect and will certainly be investigating these issues. particularly your comments on this home are surprising, as this is our most recently refurbished property.
