Rightly or wrongly , regarding telephone answering being poor we tend not to answer the phone and let it go to voicemail , the reason being 95% of calls are asking about availability of pitches , the voicemail message asks them to book online as the system checks the instant availability , we will ring people back if they already have a booking and leave a message, otherwise we are spending too much time answering the phone and saying the same thing as the voicemail, it is just my wife and I running the site.

Interestingly a site near us does not even offer a telephone number to ring and only take online bookings or take emails.

Não gostou Facilities were not the best. One shower head was broken and held together with what looked like a hair bobble.

Do gerente: I wonder what our customer service rating would have been if I had not jump started your car ! , really surprised by that. There was no evidence you did not like our customer service after having several chats with you.

We see many faces in our line of business and some have more than others for sure.

I think like most campsites we get some negative reviews in the season , but it takes a lot of work to maintain our consistently high ratings,

As repeated often we maintain showers and toilets in a very clean state and frequency of cleaning is way over what most sites do.

Gostou Beautiful location and grass area very well kept. Lovely river at the end of the site.
Great shop and fish and chip place down the road.
Able to park car next to the tent.

Do gerente: Thanks for your review. Just to say the toilets will stay the same , as they flush and they are clean , not sure what else people need from a toilet but we accept the block is of older construction which is what I think you mean.

Gostou The owners are helpful and can't do enough for you. The grounds are perfect with lots of room and very well kept. As for the facilities, they are a bit older but in great condition, well kept and very clean. The scenery is wonderful, gentle rolling river, lots of wild life and peaceful. My wife and I will make this site a regular stop and are looking forward to going back several times in the future.

Gostou The view of the river and the local made pies at the small shop next door

Não gostou Everything else. The site is NOT worth £35 a night! It’s dirty and dilapidated. The hosts T’s&C’s state you’re not allowed to complain after you have left! Everything must be dealt with when on site.

There were a load of dirty cheap white plastic chairs scattered along the riverbank and the shell of a slide for when kids were probably allowed. (Now no kids or dogs!) just a whole load of poor NC500 folk by the looks of things.

The loos need ripping down and rebuilding. The washing up area was right next to the toilet area on both men’s and womens sides. There was one shower for women and that was just creepy. My husband said the men’s was open at both ends of the door and the power and lighting was outside so anyone could have turned it off when you were in there.

Gostou Fantastic, peaceful location right on the river with a choice of pitch. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The shop at the entrance was also very handy.

Não gostou Facilities were quite basic but wouldn’t put us off staying there again.
