details texted to us on day of arrival which made it easy.
Site only small with clean toilets/shower.

Não gostou Noise from the main road, waiting to hear the bang of a crash from the speeding cars/bikes.
Only 2 ladies toilets plus one in the only one shower. Could do with another loo and shower as people had to take in turns.
Glad we had a car to get about as not much to do close by

Gostou Well kept grounds with good, clean facilities. The pitches were clearly marked with young hedging and each pitch had its own picnic table with an umbrella - very welcome in the recent heatwave. The owner was friendly.

Gostou Very pleasant and well managed camp site

Não gostou My experience was ruined by one of the 2 gates swinging back on my car and scratching and denting it. The gates need to be controlled better once open. The cost of this damage is around £700. Who will be paying this

Gostou This is a lovely well-kept site located between Trowbridge and Melksham. It was easy to find, and the owner had sent details of how to get in, so arrival was easy. The site was clean and the facilities were in good condition.

The site is within a short drive of Corsham (a historic small town) and Lacock, a National Trust owned village featuring Lacock Abbey, which was the place where photography as we knew it prior to the digital age was invented. Further afield, the Fleet Air Arm Museum is an hour away. Longleat and Bath are also close by.

Não gostou The site is close to the A361 and as such there was a constant background of traffic noise. This didn't keep us awake at night, but if you are sensitive to traffic noise this may not be the site for you.

We arrived on Thursday, and the site was very quiet. It got busier on Friday night, and busier again on Saturday night, and it was at this point we found that the site could have done with more facilities - there was only one sink for washing up with a hot water supply, and if someone had got there before you, there wasn't a lot of hot water available. Similarly, there could have done with being a little more space in the toilet blocks, which also served as space to have a wash/brush teeth etc. If there was someone else in there, there wasn't a lot of room for a second person to use the adjoining basin.

These are minor niggles - the site is a good site, but with a lot of guests you might find yourself waiting to use the facilities.
