It’s a small secluded site near the very big stones of the World Heritage Site.... pitch up at fully landscaped Stonehenge Campsite and Glamping Pods for some high Stonehenge standards. The one-acre family-run Stonehenge Campsite and Glamping Pods is the nearest outdoor accommodation site to the famous stones, with plentiful facilities including sinks, a dishwashing area and a heated shower block with spanking new piping hot power showers. Dogs are welcome (and there are plenty of good walks nearby). Campfires are allowed on site, but do pipe down in the evenings as the park has a strict no-noise policy past 10pm (campers need to get their 40 winks if they're going to be up with the larks to visit the famous stones…). For food, two pubs are within walking distance, They are between a 15 and 20-minute walk away, in Berwick St James or Winterbourne Stoke. An easy footpath walk away is the well-stocked Berwick Farm shop for all sorts of tasty supplies, and a mini market, supermarket and fresh eggs and meat available from local suppliers are all within a short drive. Feeling particularly lazy? The takeaways in nearby Larkhill and Amesbury do deliveries straight to the site.

Gostou Pitches were flat and grass cut nice and short. Location. Liked caravans and motorhomes separate from tents. Friendly staff. Lovely walks. Very good ladies showers. Great firepit and good logs although a tad expensive compared to other sites but burnt well.

Não gostou Not owners fault we know but we were next to group of young people who were very inconsiderate to other campers with young children. Supposed to be quiet after 10pm they cranked up the music very loud voices and no sleep for us until
Approx 1am both days. Children did not sleep well difficult to settle them. Even in the Sunday morning these campers were drinking while packing up and got in cars to drive home. We were not the only campers to complain, that's the only criticism. Would have been brilliant if they had been told to keep noise down, toilets could have been cleaner and men's showers were not very good. But a good site.

Nice place to spend a day or two and hike to Stonehenge.

Gostou Great position easy to find.. the pitch we stayed on a silver hard standing was excellent, quiet and peaceful.staff all very friendly and helpful

Não gostou The showers and toilet facilities were the worst we have experienced. There was little or no cleaning going on and everywhere was very dirty and unpleasant. This is the only reason we would not recommend or stay again ourselves. I do hope this major shortcoming is addressed as we would like to return

Overall we had a great stay and will definitely return.

Não gostou Gents toilet/shower needs upgrading.
Pitches would benefit from some pillar lighting as a nice touch.

Gostou Der Platz war sehr gepflegt und auch in sehr ruhiger Lage. Platzwart war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Não gostou Die sanitären Anlagen waren alles andere als sauber und auch sehr „alt“ bzw. heruntergekommen. Die Duschen waren eher heruntergekommen.
Die Entsorgungsstation der Chemietoilette war dreckig. Der Schlauch für die Wasserzufuhr lag von der Wasserleitung abgekoppelt auf der Erde. Und man verfing sich ständig in dornigen Heckenrosen.

Gostou We recently visited a truly excellent campsite that perfectly blends natural beauty with convenient amenities. The spacious, well-maintained pitches were suitable for tents, caravans, and motorhomes alike. The modern facilities, including clean restrooms, hot showers, and a dedicated dishwashing area, made for a very comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the easy access to hiking trails and a charming local village, ensuring our days were filled with plenty of activities.

Great friendly place, there is everything you want for a weekend away.…

Gostou Mooie verharde plaatsen.

Não gostou Het sanitair was ronduit smerig. Tijdens ons verblijf werd er niet schoongemaakt. Zo te zien de dagen daarvoor ook niet. Bovendien was deze voorziening bij de heren totaal versleten.

Não gostou Toilets and showers we’re disgusting, we ended up using our caravan toilet and shower , such a shame as lovely camp site .

No need to spend aeons introducing the main attractions near this park… the Stonehenge site is just miles away and nearby Avebury contains the biggest stone circle in Europe. Other historical highlights nearby include Longleat, Stourhead Gardens and the medieval Salisbury Cathedral, over 400 feet high and with Europe’s oldest working clock. The county of Wiltshire as a whole has heaps to keep all ages and interests occupied, from the Longleat Safari & Adventure Park to stately homes such as the National Trust - Mompesson House. Further afield but still within easy reach, World Heritage historyheads can also take a trip to the historic city of Bath to gawk at the Georgian architecture or get Darcy-like at the Jane Austen Centre (have a proper English tea at the Pump Room afterwards). Or there’s Bristol with the famous SS Great Britain and the award-winning We The Curious interactive science centre, voted one of the top 10 family attractions in the country. Nature types should trip along to the New Forest and its guided walks on the wildlife and landscape, year-round events including country shows and carnivals, cycle and horse riding trails, forest villages and seaside towns.
