Gostou We stayed in late September. Very quiet. But that's what we like. It was perfect. Great toilets, the best we have found on any camp site in the area. Staff were brilliant. We will defo be staying again.

Gostou A good site as a base for a longer stay with pretty Wells on the doorstep, Glastonbury Tor, Weston-Super-Mare and Burnham on Sea around half hour drive. I liked the quietness of the site, there was only a handful of campers during my stay. 3 large fields to choose from. Staff were lovely and check in was easy, call at the farm bed and breakfast first then go next door to the camping fields. No check out time which is a good idea as it gives the tent time to dry out! The Queen Victoria is a lovely, cosy Pub 5-10 mins walk down the lane, with parking on the opposite side of the road. There's also a farm a few mins drive away that serves a great choice of breakfasts and has indoor seating for around 35 people, a lounge area and outside seating too. This is a Back to Nature site so doesn't have all the Mod Cons of the more expensive sites, toilets are compostable! But they didn't smell and there was plenty of loo roll available and saw dust! All in all, a lovely site with views of the Mendip Hills, beautiful sunsets and sunrises and the sound of sheep and cows!

Gostou Great location, fabulous view point just down the road and a lovely little pub the other direction. Not far from Cheddar car boot for some bargains on the way home. Very resonably priced and tidy loos

Gostou Its a lovely site and have been several times now. Very peaceful and relaxed.

Não gostou Unfortunately some people arrived on the 2nd night of camping and were tearing around on quad bike. Extremely selfish disruptive behaviour which triggered one of group who has been harassed where they live by people who recklessly ride on their quad bikes on the pavement terrorising pedestrians and dog walkers. We had to complain to campsite manager and the situation was resolved.

Gostou Lots of space, eco friendly loo’s, no frills campsite. Where you can cook on open fire and have a fire if you want to. Friendly staff and lots of availability as it is a big site. Close to cheddar, pub was walking distance. Some pitches a bit on the wonk as it is quite Hilly in areas but there was plenty of available space to avoid this.

Não gostou The obvious no showers/ hand washing. However the place clearly states this when booking so it wasn’t a suprise.

Gostou Really cheap and easy to use campsite. Perfect location for Mendips and surrounding areas. Ideal for walking ebbor gorge too. Compost loos were clean and maintained and plentiful. Access to fire pits was so useful. Staff were friendly as were other campers.
Pitch size was unlimited so perfect for a bell tent. Would definitely stay again, and maybe stay longer.
No showers but recommend a solar for camping anyway.
Handy tourist info available, fire supplied for sale until 9pm.
Pub only 5 minutes walk away but we didn’t use it this time.
