Run by a family for families, Home Farm Holiday Park really does have everything your travel crew needs for a satisfying stint in Somerset… including both indoor and outdoor swimming pools (open in the warmer months), with the latter having a mini water factory and a toddler splash zone. (At both pools you'll need to book slots in advance to make sure they're never overcrowded.) Parents can sprawl out on a free sun lounger while the kids swim at this site five minutes' drive from Burnham-on-Sea… or find a babysitter and make their way towards the well-stocked fishing lake to reel in common carp, bream and pike (with an environmental rod licence plus a Home Farm Fishing Permit). A fully equipped gym’s also here for the adults, along with a sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room for an extra fee. Got the pup with you as well? A special dog-walking area is on site to make sure they're all tuckered out before the drive home Activities the clan can take part in together include live entertainment during the evenings at the Nite Owl complex, which has two amusement arcades, family-friendly restaurant and kids’ bar. If the big game’s on, catch it on the live BT Sports showings (footie fans might also appreciate that a football pitch is on site as well…), or stream it on the wifi while getting into the Somerset spirit by sipping on ciders. Just make sure to line the stomach beforehand with options from the takeaway menu or concoct your own meals using ingredients from the on-site supermarket. It’ll be easy to get home speedily after stays here, as the park’s close to Junction 22 of the M5 motorway.

Gostou We have just spent a week at home farm and absolutely loved it. The park is clean and friendly and totally geared up for children. Our relatives visited for a couple of days and it was great to have the option to get a day pass for them. The outdoor pool was very cold but was clean. You have to pay for the indoor pool which cost us £16 a time. This was a bit pricey over the week. I haven’t put this bit in the dislike section as it wasn’t really a dislike, more of an added cost. Over all it was fab and would defo recommend.

Gostou The size and layout of the super pitches. Really lovely! The receptionist at the main desk was a lovely lady.

Não gostou The site was pretty empty yet we could still only use the pool once a day which had to be booked, then a whistle is blown for everyone to leave before the next session of maybe 5 people are allowed in. In very quiet times it would be nice to let the kids enjoy the pool as there really isnt much else to do. The indoor pool is available to book with your passes for free but they dont actually allow you in unless you pay an extra charge.
My son got out of the pool to use the toilet in the changing room and was shouted at by the older receptionist in the pool that she would call security if he continued to get her carpet wet, there is no other way to get into the changing rooms from the outside pool so you have no choice but to walk on the carpet wet.
When you book the pool and arrive and give your name, you are allowed no further unless you have your passes to hand. I mean, it would be ironic to turn up at the empty pool and give your name, which is on the list, and there be others with the same booking number! Doesnt seem very trusting.
The same in the evening, no pass, no entry. You cant drive in unless your car Reg is on the ANPR system anyway so seems a little over the top when it's so quiet.
The local area was dead, nothing much to do at all.

Gostou Loved the campsite The people on reception were lovely They explained in detail what we had to do and were we where going Lots to do with the grandchildren swimming was really good and so was the club house

Não gostou Our neighbours were a bit loud and stayed up quite late and didn’t consider we had children trying to get to sleep at night I was really concerned how easy access the kids had to get to the railway line just through a gate My oldest grandson loved to cycle around the campsite on his own and he took me along the dog walking area and I noticed the gate to the rail track Also the trail run along side the river which was really scary when I cycled with him There is no signs up advising the dangers in that area

Gostou Facilities were lovely and well cleaned.. we enjoy staying here as its so child friendly and we feel the children safety is thought of through out the campsite especially with the speed limits around the campsite.

This park’s close to Somerset attractions including Britain’s shortest pier at Burnham-on-Sea, about a five-minute drive away. If you’re up for a longer stroll, this coastal town also has a 2.5-mile promenade to wander on with shops and restaurants lining the front. For a bigger pier, head to Weston-super-Mare's seafront jetty a 20-minute drive up the coast and check out the old buildings of this Victorian-era resort while you’re there. For more browsing after dipping in and out of the town's antique shops, the discount outlets of Clarks Village are about half an hour away from Home Farm in the car. Splurging got you feeling peckish? Inland, and about a 20-minute drive from the site, is the tourist town of Cheddar for stocking up on the famed cheese and then taking it along to the scenic gorge nearby for a picnic...
