Whitemead Caravan Park

Gostou We’ve just had a stay at Whitemead Caravan Park in Wool, Dorset, and we were really impressed.
The site is fantastic — very clean, very well looked after and you can see the amount of care that goes into it. It’s not just the initial set-up; there is clearly a lot of pride taken in the daily upkeep, cleaning and general presentation of the whole site.
The staff were friendly and very welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were shown to our pitch, which was a lovely touch and made the arrival very straightforward.
The toilets and showers were absolutely immaculate. They were clearly cleaned and maintained to a very high standard, and throughout the site there is a real sense that cleanliness and presentation are taken seriously.
There’s a mixture of grass and gravel pitches. Personally, I have a preference, but it’s good to have the choice, and the pitches and surrounding areas are very well maintained.
For dog owners, there’s a field down a track where you can exercise your dog, which is a really useful facility and means you don’t have to go far from the site for a decent bit of exercise.
The location is another big plus. The Ship Inn is only about a five-minute walk from the entrance to the site. You simply cross the road, walk over the footbridge and you’re practically in the pub car park. We found it to be a great pub and restaurant — very convenient after a day out.
Another thing that really stood out to us was the signage. It has clearly been thought about and is superbly composed and kept tidy around the site. It’s informative and provides all the necessary safety information without making the site look cluttered.
Overall, you can see that a huge amount of thought, effort and pride goes into running Whitemead. It’s the attention to detail and the daily care that really makes a difference.
A genuinely lovely, well-maintained and welcoming site. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Gostou Excellent facilities - well maintained playground for little kids, games room for big kids, super clean showers/toilets/sinks which must have been very frequently checked as they were spotless every time! Helpful and friendly staff.

Gostou Whitemead Caravan park was great. the site was clean, and the toilet and .shower block areas was very clean.
The staff on site were friendly and helpful. and put our caravan in place with the small tractor .would recommend to anyone to stay there, and if and when we visit Dorset again would stay again at Whitemead,

Gostou Clean showers and toilets all very well maintained. A very good bus and train service. One of the best sites for transport. Staff very friendly and well stocked shop. Look forward to visiting again next year.

Gostou Everything! Great location with access to a river to swim in. Lovely site, had an amazing stay. Loads of places within easy driving distance for days out. Toilets and showers were absolutely spotless-the first thing my teenage children commented on!! Owners incredibly friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning.
