Luckford Wood Caravan and Camping

Gostou: Shower block and toilet block were very clean and well kept. The pitches were brilliantly spaced and looked after. We had a really lovely stay, and thought it was a brilliant stay. We were also lucky enough to get a pizza from the pizza truck which was a very well needed treat.

Não gostou: Absolutely nothing :)

Gostou: Facilities were good, toilets and showers clean, good washing up area, staff were friendly and helpful, allowed fire pits (they even provide them and bag of logs for £10), our daughter (8) loved riding her bike round

Não gostou: Uneven pitch which sadly due to rainfall was very muddy (Dave did tell us pick was not the best but we were late to site and was full!), no shop and was not close to town), poss need some kind of information board showing nearby facilities

Gostou: Beautifully kept grounds by Grant and his team. A very warm welcome with all the information about the campsite we needed. A special touch for us was to be told where the sun rises and sets…which is important for sitting and having one or two evening G&T’s! The facilities are great and we had no problems with the showers being cold…just keep that button in! The campsite is in a great location for visiting all the nearby sites and is so peaceful and wonderful views. We had a wonderful stay.

Gostou: Workers on site were really friendly and helpful. Gave us info about local places and transport. Very quiet, unfortunately the weather wasn’t great but site was well laid out and tidy.

Não gostou: Shower block really needs updating, only 3 in ladies and no privacy. Only curtains and No heating. Really let the site down. Only cold water in wash basins in toilet block although toilets were very clean.

Gostou: Tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful spot in south Dorset. Near to coast but felt more rural. Friendly staff, always at hand, to keep everything maintained and share local info. Definitely recommend a stop. Showers do run on a push button, there is a knack to constant hot water - just continuously hold the button down while you’re in it! Works a treat!

Gostou: Very spacious pitches with electric hook up and can have a fire pit. These are provided if you ask before 7pm and logs are available to buy from the site. Very clean and tidy toilet/shower/washing block with Elsan point and wash up area, everything is immaculate and Grant is very friendly and helpful should you need anything. Lovely and peaceful except the farm animal noises which I personally enjoyed. One evening the military were doing some shooting practice until quite late but this was only one night out of the 4 we stayed. Other campers very very friendly. Proper back to basics campsite, perfect if you want a peaceful and relaxing stay. Location wise, it was perfect for us. We visited Swanage, Studland, Lulworth and Durdle Door and everything is within a 25 min drive of the site. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Gostou: The location, good access to Wareham and Wool. Good clean facilities, the field was well kept, flat and clearly marked out spots, optional extra for a firepit which was well prepped and well worth it as the bag of logs included will easily last the evening (5 hours for us). They were trailing a pizza oven onsite with an external provider which we loved (we originally planned to pitch up, go back out to the pub and come back afterwards but actual glad we changed plans completely to use the pizza onsite instead), the sunset through the trees was lovely and then watching the stars appear by the firepit just made the weekend, Caught a glimpse of the sunrise at 5 am across the field too.

Não gostou: There was nothing we disliked, if I had to be really picky then separate doors in the shower block as the cubicles in the shower area just had curtains with a communal bench, but they were clean and I am being picky. It's personal preference and would happily go again. It didn't affect us, but I didn't see a separate family shower / changing area, maybe something to add on later?
