Gostou Such a wonderful campsite! We loved everything about it. Everything has been so well thought out and the facilities are nicest and cleanest I’ve ever come across in my many camping trips. The outdoor shower is just dreamy and is already missed! The hosts are so warm and welcoming. The play field is so well set up and fantastic for children or grownups! We loved how the pitches were set up as it really felt like you had your own private space and each one was a really good distance from the other. Over all a beautiful site, with fantastic facilities and pitches. A must visit!

Gostou Dinah and Marc are wonderful hosts. Excellent communication and welcoming. It’s easy to find. They let me choose which pitch I would like. There is loads of space between pitches. The showers and toilets are very clean. The shower is hot and there is a charging port for phones. The grass was soft enough for me to pop the tent pegs in easily, despite the recent heatwave making most ground hard. Going the extra mile is what they do really well.
I’ve been before, it’s like coming home. Thanks again!

Gostou I particularly like the setting, the pitch and the facilities. The campsite is very well maintained and I love all the planting - the weaving willows are gorgeous.

Gostou Mark and Dinah were very attentive and went above and beyond to help with our cooking facilities.
Outdoor play area with selection of games
Outdoor shower
Well stocked kitchen (glamping)
Great facilities
Firepits/BBQ
Beautiful setting, mown paths through wild grassland
Spacious plots with good separation

Não gostou A very minor point, but some communal shaded areas would be good for the (unlikely) 30 degree days!

Gostou Everything. The campsite was lovely, beautifully maintained, loads of things to keep the kids entertained.

Marc and Deana are a lovely, welcoming couple that have a great passion for the environment and keeping everything eco friendly.

Não gostou The only thing that I could comment on, and it is a real third world problem, is that there is no where to dry your hands in the washrooms so take a towel when you pop to the loo!

Gostou What a beautiful site! Everything is very well looked after and cared for. Few but spacious pitches so it’s not overcrowded. Really lovely toilet and shower facilities, clean and fresh smelling. They even provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and washing up liquid (with hot water!). Great communication with the owners too. There is some traffic noise from the nearby A road but it never bothered us. A short drive from Hatherleigh with shops etc. Owls calling at night. 🥰 We loved staying here.

Gostou Very friendly welcome, hosts were brilliant! Gave us plenty of information about surrounding areas. We had a wedding that day and asked to check in earlier than normal which they accommodated for us!

Couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Gostou We had a wonderful stay. Marc and Dinah are exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The site is clearly a labour of love and we loved how the pitches are set out with a space for each family. The outdoor shower was bliss! Delicious pizzas, excellent play are which we all enjoyed and our boys were in their element. Thank you!

Gostou First off, I would like to say this was such a gem of a find. Dinah and Marc were fantastic and really have thought of everything that you would need or want on a camping stay. From the spoons and pots to the torches and hot water bottles. Just bring food and towels! My kids (1 and 5) simply loved the experience and the minute they got out of the car just thought they were in heaven. The yurt itself is far bigger than it looks and so comfy! The kitchen and fire pit was so social for us and there was also the playground where ball toys are provided like badminton as well as archery. There is also a stream and hammock in the trees which we wish we could have stayed at longer. The other campers are certainly not close at all and we really felt we were in nature and the silence was beautiful. The highlight for my partner was the outside shower (which provides warm water) so he felt really rejuvenated every morning. There’s a lot to see around the area: we went to the beach in Cornwall but would suggest to visit the smaller ones as the main beach was too busy, castle Drogo was a treat and the lovely pubs along any route were so gorgeous. Do visit Fingle Bridge Inn for a meal- it’s along the river and has truly beautiful views with kids playing in the water and picnicking along the mountain. We want to walk the trail the next time we come. There is a lake to kayak in not so far away and horse riding. Honestly - so much to do and see we were shocked. We lived out stay and will certainly come again. Fuss free camping with kids - yes!
