Gostou A beautiful secluded location. Gorgeous views and very peaceful. Very friendly and welcoming. We loved watching the sheep and ducks and chickens. Local footpaths down to Hartland and clean facilities

Gostou What a wonderful no frills high quality site. Delightful in every way. The flat pitch was huge with willow windbreaks partitions. Space and privacy was perfect.

The communal loo/washing up/shower area so homely utterly clean with touches like the microwave, kettle, eco cleaning products, hair dryer, hand towels, house plants plus table and chairs.

The ducks, chickens and cats gave us much entertainment.

On a working farm managed by Eric and Shelly who work very hard to holistically manage their Devon and jersey cattle in-between giving their time to keep campers comfortable. This isnt a sterile, over manicured, with endless rules its a home, farm and camping business. Therefore its a very homely site managed with passion and thought with care for the environment.

For us the location was great for the North Devon coastal path from Bideford, Westwood Ho! Clovelly, Hartland Quay and Bude. So quiet with the odd moo and tractor noise.

Being close to a pub etc wasnt an issue for us as we prepared are own food and didnt need entertaining. Have to say all the other campers were so friendly.

A real gem.

Do gerente: Good evening Cheri. Thank you for your very comprehensive review. Delighted to show you around the farm so that you could see our lovely Devon cows which we farm organically. Your kind words are much appreciated.
Like us if you want to eat organic food, there is not much choice around here.
Sainsburys in Barnstaple (24 miles away) or Waitrose in Holsworthy (24 miles away) do organic food. A small shop but packed with organic goodies is Marshford Organics in Northam (15 miles away).
However the village of Hartland (3 miles away) does have a Post Office and small grocery store, both of which do a huge assortment of fresh fruit, vegetables and tinned goods.
And every first Sunday of the month we have Hartland Farmers market which has a selection of fresh bread, vegetables and meats.

Gostou We really enjoyed our stay. Good, clean facilities, the owners were friendly & helpful. A quiet campsite, with only the occasional sounds of farm animals and wildlife. With a lack of light pollution the site has the best opportunity for star gazing, at night, that we’ve seen in years. Would highly recommend.

Gostou Very welcoming, lovely view. Very chilled Vibe. Quiet! For a few nights it was just us. Reasonable price. Facilities were fine and perfect for what we needed. Not far from beautiful places. Adult only. Seeing the cows well loved. Watching the milking and they gave us yoghurt!

Gostou Well kept and nice showers and toilets. Small kitchen with fridge, washing up, microwave and kettle.

Pitched very big, very quiet area and owners were lovely.

Gostou What a lovely campsite for adults (and dogs) only. Very peaceful and beautiful location right in the NW tip of Devon. Great walks straight from the campsite out to the SW Coast Path.

Gostou I liked how quiet it was, the toilet/shower block was great, kept tidy and clean, the showers were the best, hot and powerful. The toilet/shower block was part of a cabin which had the pot washing area, you also had use of a microwave and kettle if you needed it and access to jigsaws and some books.
I also liked how when you went to the loo there was a little gaggle of geese that waddled over to see you.

Não gostou The pitch that we were allocated was spoilt by the overgrown hedgerow (we were at the bottom end in the corner) it just needed a strimmer taking to it, so that you could see over the fence to see the lovely jersey cows and also the views in the distance.

Do gerente: Thank you for reviewing your stay. The ducks are very popular with guests staying on the campsite. They are very friendly indeed.
There is always a balance to be had with the amount or not of cutting the grass and strimming the hedges. The wildlife love the nettles, but the guests would like the banks strimmed. I will bear your comments in mind, because, yes there is a lovely view of the countryside beyond the campsite. We do have 3 pitches which do not have a hedgebank, and have wonderful views, but the pitch you stayed in is the most sheltered spot and reserved for tents like yourself.

Gostou Small campsite and we had the place to ourselves, it was lovely. It is a working farm and there was cows in the next field that came to say hello, ducks and a lovely unusual cat.
The owners were very friendly and according and would stop for a chat. They went about their day and we enjoyed watching them.
The site is literally in the middle of nowhere, but we like that.
The site provided everything you need from kettle to hair dryer.
We enjoyed staying at this site

Gostou We use our VW camper, travel light and explore by bicycle…
Quiet location with no ambient light, so good for star gazing if there is a clear sky.
Reasonably sheltered site with good views.
Great facilities shed with clean toilets, showers, wash up, kettle, microwave and a radio that sensed entry & played Classic fm.
Sounds and life of the farm (cattle can be ‘noisy’ if they’re penned for any reason)
