Do gerente: I am sorry that you felt the need to give us such a bad review and request a refund for your second night due to someone plugging into the electric point that you had used prior to going out for the day.
If you had phoned us we could have sorted the electric out for you without the need to move pitches as your pitch was not occupied by someone else. This was a situation that could have been easily rectified by us had you told us whilst you was onsite and not through an email or bad review once you had left the site.
Because of this I am not going to offer you a refund for the second night as you have requested in your email.
As for the shop, we receive many compliments on it being a well stocked shop for basic requirements so i am sorry this also didn't meet your expectations.
Our campsite is clearly advertised as being on a farm in the countryside, hence how you had dark skies for stars, so there are many walks around, again had you asked us we could have helped.

Gostou Pleasant site, plenty of space. Good facilities, i.e. washing up area, freezer block fridge, shower units etc., shop for basics. Friday evening music session and community space.

Não gostou Long way to walk to showers/toilets from our tent pitch. Showers last for 10 seconds only. Yes 10 seconds!. Of course you can start them again, and I have no objection to saving water but 10 secs. seems a bit short. On the other hand, shower units were spacious with place to put clothes etc. without getting everything wet.

Gostou Site in general is lovely ,shop has good but limited stock .

Não gostou People parking camper vans on our pitch ….No fire breaks there were 6 units on 3 pitches all together …..one refused to move from infront of our caravan tow bar so we couldn’t move the caravan if we needed to in an emergency ….The site needs to be more responsible with there pitches especially as the ground were dry in all the fields so fire risk with bbqs was high .

Do gerente: Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased you enjoyed the site overall.

We would, however, like to clarify a few points. During your stay, you chose to move from your allocated pitch to an area behind another designated pitch because you preferred flatter ground. The camper vans you refer to were correctly pitched on their allocated pitch after they arrived. As they were occupying the pitch they had booked, they were not breaching our fire safety requirements.

We explained this at the time and offered to relocate you back to an available designated pitch if you were unhappy with the proximity. This offer was declined.

We take fire safety extremely seriously and operate a strict one-unit-per-pitch policy in accordance with our site rules. At no point were multiple units permitted on a single allocated pitch. We appreciate all feedback but feel it is important to clarify the circumstances for future guests.

Gostou Beautiful views and footpaths. Dog friendly.

Gostou Lovely location with plenty of pitch space, really enjoyed the live music in the evenings in the barn which had a bar. Showers were brilliant and liked that you had a separated private bench area and shower curtain.

Não gostou The amount of ants and wasps but can’t do anything about that of course and is part of camping 🤣
