A small, friendly, family-run site and cracking sea/countryside views are among the features of Sunnymead Farm on the north Devon coast: it's between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe too so you can have sand among your toes or be fishing from the harbour within about 10 minutes. Combe Martin and Exmoor beyond it are about 15-20 minutes away. The Sunnymead owners have set the pitch prices to what they feel is reasonable for the area and the location; they've laid pitches out around the edge of two fields, giving each plenty of space and leaving the centre of each field free for play. Sunnymead Farm has a play area, free hot showers, a family shower room and recycling facilities. Reception sells hot and cold drinks, snacks and basic provisions. Going off site, the farm has direct access to a bridle path that links to miles of public footpaths (it can get mucky, so bring your wellies), and is on a public bus route with services that will stop on request at the site entrance. Tourist info and details on local attractions are available on site.

Gostou Cleanliness of facilities. Mini shop on site with lots of leaflets and recommendations of walks from the owner, they were very helpful! A bus stop right outside the campsite which we used everyday instead of using our own vehicle. Pitch sizes were very spacious.

Não gostou Slightly noisy main road, but not that much to affect our sleep.

Gostou The campsite was clean well cared for good sized pitches, facilities small but well cared for and clean our daughter joined us with our grandson and used the family facilities her comments they were excellent. The owner of the site was a very pleasant and friendly lady and very helpful with local knowledge. Will visit again

Gostou Small site with very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff! Toilet and shower facilities were new which was nice as they were in good condition. Near both Woolacombe and Ilfracombe and not far from a big Tesco so very convenient

Não gostou Near a main road which in a tent made it hard to sleep but ear plugs can easily fix this

Gostou Everything! What a fabulous site! Sarah was very welcoming and so accommodating. Lovely clean facilities and showers and loos very modern. Little essentials shop was great too.
Stayed here 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. Great location for exploring many parts or North Devon. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with comfort, this is the one!

Gostou What a fantastic place we was made to feel very welcome when we got there we was got there earlier than our arrival time but for a small feel we could set up early and with the weather that was great
The facilities were very clean and easily accessible
The site is situated in between illfracomb and woolcomb with a bus stop just outside
When it came to leave the weather wasn’t very good and they allowed us to stay a bit longer so as not to pack up with wet stuff
I would highly recommend this site to family and friends we will also be returning there

Lovely, simple family run campsite, would recommend

Gostou The toilets/facilities were kept lovely and clean. our little boy loved being close to the play park. The lady at reception was friendly and welcoming.

Não gostou Barely even a dislike! Just the shower blocks are pretty chilly, so a heater or something would be good!

Atrações locais

The surfing of Woolacombe and the Victorian town of Ilfracombe are both three miles from Sunnymead Farm, as are the famed Tunnels Beaches, the hand-carved tunnels leading to sheltered coves and a Victorian bathing pool (you can get married at the Tunnels these days, so drop a holiday hint if you think that'd be your thing). Combe Martin Dinosaur Park should whet the appetite for your next south-west England trip (to the Jurassic Coast) and as it's the 'gateway to Exmoor', all sorts of outdoorsy activities lie just ahead. Award-winning conservation centre Exmoor Zoo has over 200 species of animals, birds and reptiles. Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle just outside Ilfracombe has a labyrinth, rides and play areas in a rather splendid setting overlooking Watermouth Cove; buy a return ticket to come back again for a tiny price throughout the season. And if you're feeling active, the amount of things you could get busy at in Devon are too many to list, but could include surfing, horse riding, swimming, tennis, golf, quad biking, ten-pin bowling and cycling (the Route 27 cycle trail is close by).
