In the south of the High Weald National Landscape, about 10 minutes' drive from the East Sussex coast and, yes, next to a pretty pond, Pondside Glamping makes a lovely little spot for a quiet, no-frills break mixing up coast and countryside. Basic but comfortable, the accommodation at this small family-run site is in bell tents well spaced around a grass field. The field is sheltered by trees and houses shared facilities including toilets, showers and a washing-up area with a fridge, kettle and toaster for guest use. This is a glamping site, but how you choose to experience that is up to you – you can opt to have all the kit provided or bring all your own stuff to keep costs down (or go for something in the middle). Wheelbarrows are provided to help you ferry any luggage from the car park to the tents. Whichever setup you go for, you’ll be well placed for exploring as there’s access to a public footpath along a track with horses in neighbouring fields and lovely views over the rural surroundings. If that sounds like something your dog would enjoy, there’s good news – dogs are welcome on site as long as they're well behaved. Although this is a rural location, it’s well supplied with local amenities – it’s a two-minute drive to a couple of pubs, a butcher and a tea room, or five minutes to the outskirts of Hastings for several supermarkets. Beaches are only a little further away – Hastings and Winchelsea beaches are about 10 minutes' drive, or you could get to popular Camber Sands in about 25 minutes.

Gostou Everything was clean and lovely. We liked the camping. A small camping but very good prepared. Thank you.

Não gostou You can hear the road from the campsite. During the night it was quiet but in the morning you could hear the cars.

Gostou Very clean, close to Hastings Town and the beautiful Hastings Country Park. Small friendly site with enough space and facilities for all guests. Owner is very friendly and easy to contact. Enjoyed the badminton net and table tennis.

Não gostou Lack of shade on the left hand of the campsite where our tent was made it hard to keep our tent and dogs cool.

Gostou It's super clean, new and very well maintained.
Proper hot water in shower and washing up facilities.
Communal area is nice and spacious, big barbecue, many tables.
Location is perfect, very close to supermarkets, pubs and the beach.
Kelly was very helpful and responded quickly.

Gostou toilet and shower facilities were amazing, plus a mini kitchen is all one wants with a family. Liked the cleanliness of the area. the campsite had table tennis, badminton and jenga that we enjoyed a lot

Não gostou the ground is not flat, even the tents are pitched on slightly inclined surface.

Gostou The experience was absolutely wonderful.

The location itself is beautiful—lush, green, and peaceful, with plenty of trees and a serene atmosphere. We found the tents to be very comfortable, everything clean and clearly well-maintained.

We also appreciated the spotless bathrooms and the easy-to-use kitchen appliances—everything felt new and thoughtfully prepared. A special thanks to Kelly for her excellent customer care and for being so helpful throughout our stay.

Overall, my family and I had an amazing time and we will definitely be returning.

It was truly a lovely way to spend time in nature.

Thank you for making our camping trip so special!

Gostou Great little campsite basic & peaceful , perfect for an overnight stay to explore local towns nearby within a short distance. We stayed in the superior bell tent, Kelly was great communicating before our stay asking if there was anything we requested e.g coal / logs for the fire pit and during if we had any questions. The facilities were clean and equipped with a small cooking stove, plates , pots , pans , cups, cutlery , kettle , teabags, coffee, biscuits. We were impressed with the price and would definitely come back to stay.

Atrações locais

Being within the High Weald National Landscape naturally means that you’ll have plenty of scenic choices for walks and bike rides, whether you fancy a gentle stroll or pedal or something rather lengthier and more energetic. Heading down towards the coast, Hastings Country Park (10 minutes’ drive) is a good destination, with the option to head into town for a paddle after your walk. Hastings has more than a beach of course – it’s also got a historic old town, a couple of cliff railways, a good adventure golf course and a couple of maritime-themed museums. Travelling a little further along the coast will take you to the quieter Winchelsea beach (10 minutes) or the historic town of Rye (15 minutes), packed with cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and antiques shops. The dunes of Camber Sands (25 minutes) are fabulous when the weather’s good; if it’s a damp day, head instead to the indoor displays at Brede Steam Giants (15 minutes).
