Gostou: Absolutely stunning. Can’t rate the cabin or the host highly enough. Everything was so clean on arrival and we had everything we could need. About 45 min from Bowness on Windermere and an hour from Scaffel Pike starting point (both of which we recommend!). Was concerned about staying a bit further away from the lakes but it ended up being the best decision as the drives took us through gorgeous scenery and was much nicer having a remote base to escape to. Totally perfect. Thank you!!

Gostou: Absolutely loved the feel of the place! So secluded and quiet but close enough to go into Millom the nearest town. Although we didn’t see the owners personally you could just tell they were lovely people a really well looked after site, gorgeous animals too! Only rated 1 star on child friendliness as it was an over 18s only lodge. Would definitely stay again!

Gostou: This converted barn cabin has everything you need. It really is beautiful. Louise was super friendly and very helpful with advice on where to go. The beach is close, and accessible and very quiet. I'd recommend going up the hill behind the property, its takes no time to get to see views to die for. Would definitely recommend, and would love to return

Gostou: Beautiful cabin with everything you need and more. There's even board games and books for you to use. WiFi was great as was the location, plenty of beautiful walks near by. Enjoyed watching the horses with my morning cuppa.

Gostou: Lovely conversation, really unique and had a lovely kitchen setup, was good value for money. The two heaters where more than sufficient and where warm throughout even on a cold wet March day. Wifi was good! And really dog friendly! Would recommend. Great location!
Não gostou: The shower on both mornings (we only stayed 2 nights as a stop off on the way to Scotland) was freezing cold and didn't work at all, kept flashing red and going to the cold selection (not human error not sure if the shower was faulty?) if we stayed longer we probably would have mentioned it to the host but for 2 nights we just went without, we also had to buy drinking water as the drinking water tap was either to slow or didn't produce any water at all.

Do gerente: Thanks for the review and glad to hear there was lots that you liked. We live on site and always happy to help with problems. On investigation we have discovered that a temporary loss of pressure caused the shower thermal cut out to be triggered which we can fix if notified, we have also changed the filter on the drinking water feed. The property is on a private water supply and we are upgrading the system to complete by end March to avoid any loss of pressure but this hasn't generally caused any issues and was a temporary problem per other reviews. Sorry we couldn't get involved to fix it for this visit. We are also introducing a dedicated patio/garden area for the Cabin in March for the Summer season, photos to follow.

Gostou: We liked it was a nice remote location. The view was beautiful. It was a lovely place to stay, with comfortable bedding and heat options so we had no reason to be cold. It has all the facilities we could have needed. We visited some of the lakes and would happily stay again to do some of the higher ground walks.

Gostou: Everything. There was nothing other than the weather that we disliked. It was cosey, quaint, quiet, comfortable and have everything that we needed. The host was very friendly and helpful. Amazing views and plenty of places to visit. Fabulous food at a nearby pub. Couldn’t have asked for a better time away. Will definitely be booking again
