Being so close to the border, you’ll be in a prime position for all sorts of activities in both Scotland and England when you stay at Low Moor Head Caravan Park. This Cumbria site is about a mile and a half from Longtown, in a handy location for heaps of different attractions, including Hadrian’s Wall, Gretna Green and the hiking trails of both the Lake District National Park and Northumberland National Park. Fishing, horse riding, paintballing and mountain biking are among the activities to choose from nearby – although you’re equally welcome if you’d rather simply take it easy with gentle strolls, a bit of landscape photography and perhaps a couple of drinks in nearby village pubs. The glamping huts here are part of a quiet caravan park, and they’re set up for adults only so you can expect a lovely peaceful space for a romantic retreat with your beloved, away from kids, pets and other distractions. It’s a really pretty part of the country, and you’ll wake up to fabulous views of Geltdale, Tindale and the northern fells of the Lake District, plus the woodlands and countryside immediately around the site. You’ll be staying in a cosy wooden structure with a cosy bed made up, a TV and a kitchenette with fridge, cooker, kettle and toaster. Each one also has a woodburning stove and an ensuite bathroom, plus lots of little extras like towels, dressing gowns and slippers. You’ll be needing those gowns and towels too, because there’s a private wood-fired hot tub outside each hut… Dinner can be a romantic setup as well, as there’s a barbecue/firepit where you can get the grill going while the sun sets (or pick up takeaways in town if you’d prefer an easy life).

Gostou Lovely cosy comfortable pod, super comfy bed, the place was spotless, plenty of utensils etc. The little touches made it special such as the fairy lights around the hot tub, the complimentary treats and Scottish breakfast tray with eggs from the site farm and fresh flowers.
Adele was attentive checking everything was okay for us, the sheep were friendly too!

Gostou Everything was amazing,. Nicest hut I've stayed in and I've stayed in alot as I don't fly, all the added extras you get really make you feel welcome. Hot tub was ready for our arrival and easy to use and hosts were lovely and did anything for you, will definitely be bk x

Gostou Glamping pod facilities were great, lots of little extras left by the owner, really homely and very clean! Wood fired hot tub was prepped ready for our arrival. Owner is very friendly and provided lots of knowledge about the local area. Site was quiet, just what we were looking for. 100% recommend and will be back to stay again.

Gostou We had such a lovely weekend at the lodge! Super cozy, spotless, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing, the views were so peaceful, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Perfect little getaway — we’ll definitely be back!

Gostou Absolutely gorgeous.

We stayed here as we had a wedding nearby and wanted to make the most of the weekend and so glad we did!

The cabin was absolutely spotless, with everything you’d need and the additional if a Scottish breakfast hamper and chocolates was so lovely.

Mrs Taylor is a wonderful host who made sure everything was perfect for our stay. My husband even said it was one of his favourite places he’d ever been!

Gostou Stayed at low moor head in the borderlands camping pod for 2 nights with my husband, celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary.

Absolutely perfect stay - from the weather to the location, to the hosts, to the complementary breakfast and basket of goodies!!!

So peaceful and beautiful scenery, there was absolutely nothing not to like!!!
We will definitely return!!

Gostou The location, the glamping pod was beautifully furnished, very clean and modern.
The hot tub was lovely to relax.
Adele the host is very friendly and on hand to help. Loved the ducks, geese, hens and sheep.
Great views over the Pennines to one side and the Lakes to the other.

Gostou Loved how clean this place was and really little private part to ourselves. The customer service was beyond amazing with the hot tub being heated and ready for our arrival. Lots of free goodies and just really friendly, happy environment. Lovely view with lots of space around us. I absolutely would stay again!
