Chasing a bit of West Yorkshire peace and quiet, but still wanting lots to do? Riverside Glamping and Caravan Park is a clever spot to consider, as it’s in a peaceful hillside spot on the edge of Ripponden, yet still near sports fields, walking routes and cycling trails – and Leeds and Manchester are both under an hour’s drive away if you’re craving some big-city action (or looking for a quick escape from such). Tucked among the woodland and meadows, well-maintained modern facilities at the site include a communal shower block, washing-up facilities and waste disposal. You can also deal with any dirty clothes at the launderette (five minutes’ walk). Chores sorted, there's all sorts of stuff to do right next door. Play tennis and bowls, and give kids the chance to kick a ball around Mill Fold Park and Playground or watch them practise their moves at the skatepark. Ripponden (five minutes’ walk) is the springboard to walking and mountain-biking routes, and there’s coarse and fly fishing on the River Ryburn for anglers. The village is also well endowed with local supermarkets, a farm shop and a choice of Indian takeaways, pizzerias and homely pubs. Dogs are very welcome at Riverside, by the way, but please clean up after them. This is a quiet site, so you'll also be asked to keep noise levels to a minimum after 10pm.

Gostou The owner was really friendly and let us use his campfire and stay an extra hour because our grandad was late. He was funny and helpful. The pitch was in the wilderness and we felt like bear grills. The toilet were also really clean and nice and the campsite was close to other activities and the pub and co op. Also really nice scenery and walks nearby plus river 👍

Fantastic- loved our stay - will be back

Gostou The bathrooms were extremely roomy, clean, and well lit. The dish washing up area had washing up liquid and scrubbers there was a large skip partly covered for rubbish it was a very relaxing well positioned camp 10/10

Gostou Friendly staff, very clean toilets and showers, hook up and water by every pitch, disposal point. Very close to pubs, restaurants and take aways as well as walks along river, park near by with swings and great for dog as well

Gostou Been to this site once before & went back with friends because of the location. There are pubs & shops within walking distance. John & his partner are very welcoming, the site is small, quiet & clean .

Gostou We booked a pod at Riverside last minute for a weekend stay.
We needed a quiet place where is dog friendly and all campsites that we used to go ,were fully booked so we got to go for a new place and it was delightful.
Beautiful sceneries around and close to supermarkets. A reservoir nearby.
Facilities and room were clean .
Everything was great and hopefully we will be back soon .
John was at the campsite and had everything under control.

Não gostou The only recommendation can be a little fridge in the pod .

The double bed was actually 2 single mattresses which can’t be considered as most comfortable one .
