Stag Park

Gostou Excellent management. Beth was friendly and welcoming. Explained all about the site on arrival, and helped with the booking of our evening meal. The site is small, with large flat gravel/grass pitches - water and electric points. Compact but pleasant facilities (clean working showers). Great outlook and 5 min drive to Hamsterley. Working Wi-Fi on the pitch.

Não gostou The toilets and showers, and there were only 2 of each, were less than satisfactory. The toilets are porta loos! Which when paying £30 a night, we did not expect or like! They were dark, cramped and with the elsan point right next door, smelt! And the showers were that small, you have no where to put anything. A real disappointment given how good the site looked when we arrived.

Gostou Lovely quiet site with large beautifully maintained pitches. Owner Beth is incredibly friendly and helpful. Loved the on site animals. Keith the donkey was a big hit with our Collie ! Watching the deer, goats and geese wandering around the adjoining field was fabulous. Lovely new play equipment for children. Little shop selling sweets, drinks and ice cream. Very peaceful location very handy for a number of the regions attractions. Really close to Hamsterley Forest. Hubby said the chemical disposal point was really good . Also appreciated the free WiFi which was excellent .

Não gostou High lift to empty the waste master for grey waste. Could be tricky for people who can’t lift heavy weights.

Gostou What can we say. The most lovely accommodating hosts, who made you feel welcome and like friends. Lovely, clean family oriented camp site with great clean facilities. Animals in view to entertain the children, including a very charismatic donkey. We loved it so much, we are back in three weeks with our children in tow. Thank you Beth and Family!

Gostou Arrived Friday and was greeted by a lovely lady called Beth who was fantastic throughout our trip. Stag park is absolutely gleaming from top to bottom, toilets immaculate, showers immaculate and washing up facilities. Very well laid out grounds so you’re not on top of other campers plenty of room even with a big Berghaus air 600XL. The deer, goats and donkeys were a big hit with the little ones they loved them. Park is newly built and very well maintained. There is also a little shop on site that sells snacks, sweets, crisps, pop etc which is reasonably priced. Free WiFi also on the site which worked fab! We felt very safe and secure leaving our belongings while we headed to Hamsterly forest as the owners were regularly passing keeping on top of the cleaning and stock of the facilities. There is only 2 toilets on site but we never had an issue with this, even though the site was fully booked we never once had to wait for a toilet to become vacant. There isn’t anything negative I can say about stag park the whole experience was perfect start to finish and we will most certainly look forward to coming back again in the future.

Gostou Very clean and well-cared for site, good washing up area, large level pitches, lights at night. Only two Portaloos, not a proper toilet block, but cleaned frequently - busy at weekends. Secure gates to site. All fellow campers quiet and considerate. Deer and other animals in neighbouring field. Lovely location.

Lovely to see Keith the donkey, family of deer and geese in the adjacent field.

Não gostou Shower/toilets could be better (portable units), owners negotiating with local council.
Having said that, they are kept spotlessly clean and attended to several times a day.

Gostou Lovely, small and flat site with easy access. Very friendly and helpful team, often around maintaining the site. Lovely views across the countryside, plus deer, goat and donkey kept alongside. Cross Keys pub serving super food in nearby Hamsterley. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Não gostou Only downside was portacabin loos and showers. Kept very clean and hot water in showers ok, but a bit small and cramped.
